At Disney World, 2024 was the year that remaining COVID-era park hopper and park reservation restrictions were finally lifted, and some new additions debuted at the parks, from the completed World Celebration in EPCOT to the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure and Country Bear Musical Jamboree in Magic Kingdom. Note that this theme park attendance report is from last year, before the disruptions to Animal Kingdom from the construction of the new Tropical Americas land and the opening of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando.

In 2024, Disneyland saw some smaller but notable changes, from the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure and the reimagining of Bayou Country to the expanded Haunted Mansion queue and the debut of several new shops and restaurants in Downtown Disney.

In TEA's 2024 report, Disney Experiences still holds strong as the #1 theme park operator worldwide.

Magic Kingdom at Disney World remains the #1 Most Visited Theme Park Worldwide and in North America, with an attendance of 17,836,000 visitors in 2024. This is a 0.7% increase from its 2023 attendance of 17,720,000 visitors.

While the two Universal Orlando parks at the time, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, remained competitive with the Disney World parks, with 9,500,000 visitors and 9,450,000 visitors respectively, both parks decreased in attendance from 2023-2024. Universal Studios Florida saw a -2.6% decrease in attendance, Universal Islands of Adventure saw a -5.5% in attendance.
