An extremely popular ride at Disney California Adventure will be closing for refurbishment in a few days, just ahead of the kickoff of the Disneyland Halloween celebration. This will likely overlap with a few other recently announced Disneyland closures that are scheduled during this time.
We previously heard from Disney that the closure was expected to last a little over a month, and now we have the exact reopening date. Keep reading for the reopening date of this favorite ride!

Favorite Ride Reopening Announced
Radiator Springs Racers will soon be closing for refurbishment on August 18. During this time, Disneyland will do routine work on the ride, like coating the tracks for racing. They will also take this time to implement some other improvements, like upgrading all of the show lighting to LED and making audio, video, and network updates throughout the attraction.

Now, we can see on the refurbishment calendar that the ride is expected to reopen on September 26. Disney confirmed with us that this is the planned reopening date, although as always, refurbishment timelines are subject to change.

While the ride is closed, you can expect demand to shift towards the other major thrill rides at the park, especially during the mornings at Disney California Adventure, as crowds will often go straight to this ride at the start of the day. Demand will be especially high for the Guardians of the Galaxy ride, as it now has the Monsters After Dark overlay for the remainder of the Halloween celebration.
