Disney Announces Test Track Opening and More Details for Ride’s Reimagining

At the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase, Disney shared news about the opening of Test Track after the ride closed in June for a reimagining.

Disney previously shared that Test Track would be undergoing a reimagining that would reach back to the original World of Motion attraction for inspiration. Now, they have shared more details for the ride including what the reimagining will entail and when it will open!

Disney shared that the reimagined Test Track “will celebrate today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.” The queue will have six different exhibits, and each room will celebrate the vehicles and the people behind them “that push the envelope and help get people to our next chapter in our motion journey.”

There will be new scenes added to the ride that will feature technological advances and “how our lifestyles and relationships to mobility connect everyone.” Guests will experience scenes featuring onboard technology, customization, and personalization, then travel through a scenic outdoor route focused on the joys of driving, experiencing the world around us, and spending quality time with loved ones.

The new exterior of the reimagined ride is reminiscent of the original pavilion design. Construction is underway, and the reimagined ride will be opening in 2025.
