One of the best free souvenirs at Disneyland can be found in the Animation Building at Disney California Adventure. The Animation Building is filled with a great variety of activities, from the Turtle Talk With Crush show to Sorcerer's Workshop where you'll learn the tricks of the animator's art, but one of the best interactive experiences here is Animation Academy.
At Animation Academy, you'll be able to learn how to draw your own version of a Disney character with the guidance of an animator giving you step-by-step instructions. The best part about the class is that you'll be able to keep your artwork as a souvenir!
This free souvenir is one of the most unique ones you'll find at Disneyland, as it comes with the memory of the experience, and you create it yourself. The instructor will often also give out their artwork to someone in the class as well!
The activity itself is also a great way to enjoy some quiet and get a break from the crowds, and it's open to guests of all ages. There are no reservations required for the experience, and classes take place every 30 minutes. You can show up to the Animation Building, and you'll be able to join a class once space is available.
