With so many dining locations and ever-changing menus, it can be difficult to pinpoint an exact list of the best desserts. Of course, it's also subjective to different preferences and tastes. But when it comes to Disney Springs desserts, there's a wide variety of popular dessert menu items that you cannot miss!
I visit Disney World frequently and I stop by Disney Springs every time that I'm there. I've tried a wide variety of desserts during my many times at Disney Springs. This list of best desserts at Disney Springs will be made up of both my personal opinions as well as popular opinions of Walt Disney World Guests.
Ice Cream at Disney Springs
There are a number of dining locations at Disney Springs that offer wonderful ice cream dishes. I'm going to take a moment to highlight a few of the spots that have ice cream that really stands out!
Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
At Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, you'll find a wide variety of specialty sundaes and decadent milk shakes. While these are the most popular options at Ghiradelli, you will also find a brownie, cookie, and chocolate treats. Hot cocoa, coffee, and other beverages are also available.
If you want to enjoy a little bit of Disney with your ice cream, you may want to try the Magical Sundae! This sundae is made with vanilla ice cream and handmade hot fudge then topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and dipped waffle ears.
Salt & Straw
Salt & Straw is the ice cream location where you will ALWAYS have something new to try. The menu is constantly changing depending on the season, events, ans even movements and social causes! Not only that, at this particular scoop shop, you may see flavors that you've never seen before. Don't miss out on your chance to try some very unique ice cream flavors.
While they do have seasonal and specialty flavors they also have classic flavors. Take a look at their classic flavor menu and you're sure to see some of those unique tastes that I was referring to.

Donuts at Everglazed Donuts
Donuts are taken to the next level at Everglazed Donuts! Of course they do have classic donuts (glazed, cake, iced, iced with sprinkles, and donut holes), but that's just the beginning for this Disney Springs location. You'll not only find extravagant donuts here, you'll also find them paired with their specialty cold brews and even used on sandwiches!
Apart from the classics, Everglazed categorizes their donuts under two names: The Funky Bunch and Super Funky. The Funky Bunch includes Fruity Pebbles, Coconut Delight, Nutella Boston Cream, and Maple Double Bacon. The Super Funky donuts include Cookies & Cream, Peanut Butter Explosion, S'Mores Galore, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple Streusel, Brooklyn Blackout, Cinnamon Roll, Café Mocha Donut, Take “6”, Black Raspberry Beret, and Dulce de Leche.
Taking things one step further, Everglazed Donuts took six of their donuts and six specialty drinks and put them together. These creations are called Toppers.
Here are the different combos that are available.
- Donut Shop Special – The Cold Standard iced cold brew and Strawberry Iced Sprinkles donut
- Super Chocolate Topper – Double Chocolate Nitro iced cold brew and Brooklyn Blackout donut
- Peanut Butter Topper – Reese’s Nitro iced cold brew and Peanut Butter Explosion donut
- Purple Topper – Purple Reign iced chai tea and Purple Glazed Ube donut iced with buttercream
- Cloud 9 Caramel Topper – Salted Caramel iced cold brew and Classic Glazed donut
- Cookies & Cream Topper – Cookies & Cream iced cold brew and Cookies & Cream donut
Cakes at Amorette's Patisserie
Amorette's Patisserie is a one stop shop in and of itself for dessert lovers! Here you'll find macarons, cookies, cheesecake, mousse, éclairs, brownies, crêpes, and more! Besides desserts, they also have savory offerings and specialty drinks.
While there are many fabulous desserts at Amorette's Patisserie, we're going to specifically recognize them for their outstanding cakes! Their most popular and most recognizable cakes are the Sensational Six Dome Cakes. These cakes are inspired by Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy. They are available in these four flavors:
- Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Milk Chocolate Mousse, Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly
- Lemon Chiffon Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly
- Gluten-Friendly Biscuit Sans Farina (Flourless Chocolate Cake), Dark Chocolate Mousse
- Premium Bar – Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Ice Cream Flavored Mousse
Another fabulous cake offering from this location is the Amorette's Signature Cake. This is an 11 layer cake which features Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Cake, Cherry Mousse, Chocolate Mousse, Raspberry Pate De Fruit Jelly, and Italian Buttercream.
The cakes at Amorette's Patisserie are in high demand. If you would like to pre-order any of these cakes, you can call (407) 934-3500 or stop by the shop in Disney Springs to place your order. Make sure you do so at least 48 hours in advance. There are cakes available throughout the day in their bakery case, but they are subject to availability.
We have seen a lot of special theming on the dome cakes at Amorette's. Specialty dome cakes have been made to feature Loki, Orange Bird, Stitch, Pumpkin Mickey, R2-D2, Santa Mickey, and more!
Cake Decorating at Amorette's Patisserie
Not only do you have the option to purchase delicious cakes at Amorette's Patisserie, but you can also decorate one! You (and one guest) can participate in a class led by a Disney pastry artist to learn how to decorate a classic Disney Character Dome Cake. Currently, the only character offered is Mickey Mouse. However, starting on January 1, 2024, Minnie Mouse will be an added option! The character of the dome cake that you're decorating will depend on the day of the week that your class is. The character schedule will look like this:
- Sundays – Mickey Mouse
- Mondays – Minnie Mouse
- Tuesdays – Mickey Mouse
- Wednesdays – Minnie Mouse
- Thursdays – Mickey Mouse
- Fridays – Minnie Mouse
- Saturdays – Minnie Mouse
The Mickey Mouse Dome Cake is made up of Chocolate Chiffon Cake, Milk Chocolate Mousse, and Orange Pate De Fruit Jelly. The Minnie Mouse Dome Cake will be made up of Lemon Chiffon Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, and Strawberry Pate De Fruit Jelly.
This Disney Springs dessert experience costs $199 plus tax. This price includes a 90-minute class where two guests will learn how to decorate one cake. A second cake can be added to your experience for an additional $50 plus tax. The request for a second cake must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Beverages such as specialty coffees, teas, water, and select alcoholic beverages will also be included with the price of your reservation!
Churros at Sunshine Churros
While there's no shortage of churros around Disney World, Sunshine Churros takes the classic treat and puts a fun twist on it. The menu includes a variety of Classic Churros, Dipped Churros, and Gourmet Churros. The classic flavors include Traditional Cinnamon, Watermelon, Apple Cinnamon, Fruity Pebbles, Salted Caramel, and Rose Gold. For the dipped churros, you can choose to have your churro dipped in Nutella or Milk Chocolate. For the gourmet churros, you have the option between Strawberry Cheesecake or Oreo.
Although they're currently unavailable, Sunshine Churros has also provided us with exclusive treats. Earlier this year, they had three varieties of Churro Pops. These were churros that were rolled into a spiral with drizzle and toppings on a stick. The three Churro Pop options were Sprinkles, Hot Fudge, or Maple Bacon. We have also seen seasonal flavors! In the summer, there was a delicious Orange Creamsicle Churro that was available.

Dole Whip at Swirls on the Water
Another popular dessert around Walt Disney World is Dole Whip. This location, however, is a great spot for different flavors and unique offerings of the popular treat. This is another Disney Springs dessert location that has a menu that changes frequently. Swirls on the Water is most commonly known for its Dole Whip samplers, sundaes, and floats. There is also a variety of floats with alcohol for Guests who are 21 and over.
A dessert that I've enjoyed here before is the Dole Whip Sampler. (Which has also gone by the name Dole Whip Flight.) This is a great way to try multiple flavors of the tasty treat. They also often come with special flavors that are exclusive to certain seasons, holidays, or events. I enjoyed a sampler during Halloween time. This flight was inspired by the Sanderson Sisters and was called the Dole Whip Witches' Flight. It included Pumpkin Soft-Serve, Cheesecake Soft-Serve, and Pineapple Dole Whip. All three were topped with chocolate embellishments that referenced Hocus Pocus. Be sure to see every Disney World Dole Whip ranked here.
Bubble Waffle Sundaes at Marketplace Snacks
I've never heard of a bubble waffle until these treats came to Marketplace Snacks. Rather than having deep indents like the standard waffles that we're used to, bubble waffles are the opposite. Instead of the batter being cooked into an inward shape, it's cooked into an outward bubble shape. However, for this Disney Springs dessert, the “bubbles” are shaped like Mickey Mouse! Overall, the waffles are crisp, but the Mickey bubbles are light and fluffy on the inside.
At Marketplace Snacks, they take bubble waffles and they make sundaes with them. On their regular menu, you'll find five bubble waffle sundaes that are based off of the Fab Five: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Each of these sundaes includes a Bubble Waffle, Soft-Serve Ice Cream, and toppings that reflect the character that they are inspired by. The sundae that I got (pictured above) is called the Pluto Peanut Butter Waffle Sundae and is made up of a Bubble Waffle, Chocolate Soft-Serve, Chocolate-Covered Pretzels, Peanut Butter Sauce, Milk Chocolate Crisp Pearls, and Bog Bone-Shaped White Chocolate Pieces!
There have also been quite a few specialty bubble waffle sundaes! These special offerings have rolled out around different holidays or special events. We've seen Jack Skellington around Halloween, The Little Mermaid for World Princess Week, and currently there's an Olaf Waffle Sundae available for the holidays.
Cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse
My absolute favorite dessert at Disney Springs are the cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse. Before I tried one of Gideon's cookies for myself, I could never understand the hype around them. Gideon's Bakehouse is a very popular location at Disney Springs which regularly gains lengthy lines simply to get into the establishment. Waits for entry can be anywhere from 30 minutes to multiple hours. Often times, the bakehouse resorts to using a virtual queue to help reduce the physical line outside of the store. Gideon's has a variety of goods on their menu including cookies, cake slices, and cold brews. (Other beverages such as milk and soda are also available.) The menu here changes FREQUENTLY. It isn't uncommon for there to be exclusives during certain seasons, months, weeks, or even days. It's advised by the bakery themselves, to follow along on their social media accounts to keep up with them and their delicious offerings.
Even with all of these exclusives, Gideon's Bakehouse does have select flavors that are always on the menu. Their cookie regulars are Original Chocolate Chip, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream, Triple Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Crunch, Coffee Cake (This cookie is exclusive to their Disney Springs location and is available every morning until they sell out.), and Dark Coffee Cake (This cookie is an evening exclusive. It's available daily from sunset until they sell out.).
Out of all of the cookies that they have to offer, my personal favorite is the Original Chocolate Chip. It took the bakery 15 years to perfect the recipe for this cookie and you can tell! This cookie has also won numerous awards. The cookie itself is made up of a variety of chocolates (both inside and outside of the cookie) and is infused with different vanillas. Gideon's describes the texture of this cookie to being almost like cookie dough and they're not wrong! This cookie has a perfect level of moistness that makes the cookie melt in your mouth with each bite.
Another Way to Eat Gideon's
Gideon's listened when Guests expressed their want for warm cookies. Because of that, Hot Cookie Hour is now available twice a day. First from 2pm to 3pm and then again from 7pm to 8pm. During Hot Cookie Hour, you can enjoy their Original Chocolate Chip cookies as soon they come out of the oven. You also have the option to pair these warm cookies with homemade ice cream.
