Disneyland is closing a few rides for maintenance early this year, including the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland. While we originally had a start and end date visible for this ride closure, it has now been extended.
It is not uncommon for Disneyland to shift around closure timelines for ride refurbishments, especially when working on an older attraction. Keep reading for everything you need to know! At Mickey Visit, we report all of the latest Disney news, including Disney’s sweeping changes to Star Wars land in response to guest feedback and Disney’s potential “next next CEO” promoted to an expansive leadership position that will impact the entire company.

Jungle Cruise is slated to close on for refurbishment on February 17, 2026.
We were surprised when we saw the original reopening date posted, as we originally learned about the closure through a note on the 70 Years of Favorites Disneyland After Dark page. That page says that the Disneyland Monorail and Jungle Cruise will be closed for refurbishment during the parties, which take place on March 3 and March 5, 2026.
We are uncertain how long the Jungle Cruise ride closure will last. If the 70 Years of Favorites page is an indication, it will be a few weeks long. To our knowledge, this is just a standard refurbishment. Jungle Cruise underwent a much more substantial refurbishment in 2024, where they reportedly spent close to $600,000 making improvements to the tiger ruins scene.
There are a few other notable closures happening at Disneyland Park in the coming weeks. Right now, the Mark Twain Riverboat and Haunted Mansion are closed, and Rise of the Resistance, “it’s a small world,” and Sailing Ship Columbia will soon close for refurbishment as well.
At Disney California Adventure, Incredicoaster, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, and Grizzly River Run are currently closed, and a refurbishment is coming up for Jumpin’ Jellyfish.
