Popular Disneyland Tour Returning Soon

Lilly Belle train car

Disneyland has shared that in early 2026, the popular Disneyland Railroad guided tour will return! During this tour, guests will learn about Walt Disney’s love for trains, hearing stories about how his train creations first started and how trains shaped his dreams and impacted Disneyland. The tour also includes the rare opportunity to see the Disneyland Park Roundhouse and take a ride aboard the Lilly Belle.

The Lilly Belle is the Presidential Car of the Disneyland Railroad that was designed to serve as a private car for VIPs and special guests. This is the last remaining train car from the opening day of Disneyland, and Walt Disney’s wife, Lilian Disney, was influential in designing it. Getting a ride on the Lilly Belle used to be a more accessible experience, but as public awareness of this train car has increased over the years, this is no longer the case. Disneyland now has limited access to the Lilly Belle, and this guided tour is the only reliable way for guests to enjoy a ride in it.

Disneyland has shared that the Disneyland Railroad guided tour returns to Disneyland Park on January 16, 2026. You’ll be able to book the tour online beginning January 8, 2026. When it was last offered, the tour cost $145 per person and was 90 minutes in length.

  • Climb aboard the Disneyland Railroad’s parlor car – The Lilly Belle – and ride the rails around Disneyland. This unique experience is not available to Park guests!

  • Receive a tour-specific keepsake

We are happy to see this tour returning and hope that the “Walt’s Main Street Story Tour,” which includes a look inside Walt Disney’s private apartment, will eventually return. See details about that cool tour here!

Another really fun experience (that is completely free) is getting to ride in the Tender Seats behind the Disneyland Railroad train engines and meet the incredible train engineer Cast Members. This is something that often goes overlooked by guests! It’s not always available, but you can ask a Cast Member at the station to see if it is. See other free things at Disneyland you may be overlooking.

  1. I miss the days when you could just ask to talk to the engineer and ride the Lilly Belle, and every single meaningful experience wasn’t behind a paywall. RIP Disney Magic.
