Universal’s Most Popular Ride Now Added to Express Pass

One of Universal Orlando’s most popular rides is easily Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure. This attraction can stack up three-hour wait times on peak days of the year!

Since the ride opened in 2019 guests have been waiting eagerly for it to be added to Universal’s skip-the-line program. Well, the day we have been waiting for has finally happened!

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Added to Express Pass

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is now listed on Universal Orlando’s website as one of the Express Pass line options which is great news for fans of this ride.

Since the ride opened in 2019, it has easily outpaced wait times for all the other rides at Universal Orlando. Universal has gone back and forth with the ride, using a Virtual Line when crowds are high, but it has not officially been added to Express Pass until now.

Express Pass Will Make Standby Line Longer

Now that Express Pass is offered, this will make the standby line for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure a bit slower. This is because Team Members will have to pause the movement in the standby line to let Express Pass guests through first and this will make that line much less effective than before.

For those that do not purchase Express Pass, the best way to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is by trying to rope drop if you have Early Entry access or waiting until later in the day when ride times tend to be more inflated.

New High Demand Rides Take the Pressure Off Hagrid’s

Epic Universe is now open to all guests and has brought with it a new Harry Potter attraction that has seamlessly outranked Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure in terms of demand.

Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry has been the most popular ride at Epic Universe with wait times reaching as high as five hours! I don’t anticipate that particular record will stay consistent as we’ve already seen the wait times drop down to an average of around three hours.

Harry Potter and the Battle of the Ministry does not offer Express Pass and since Epic Universe’s official opening has only offered a standby line. During the preview period, they did test out a Virtual Line but that has not been revisited since the park officially opened.

With the new attractions at Epic Universe to spread out demand at Universal Orlando, Universal likely feels this is a good time to add Express Pass to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. This is great news all around as this ride is one of the best in all of Florida, not just Universal Orlando!
