Disneyland Christmas Festival of Holidays Marketplaces

disneyland festival of the holidays

Another key food offering during the Disneyland Christmas season comes during the Festival of Holidays. There is an entire separate menu of Disneyland Christmas food offerings that are offered during the Festival of Holidays.

We have a complete guide to that festival in a separate article. That guide includes the full menu of food, tips on how to avoid the lines, and reviews of entertainment offered as part of the festival. Read that guide to Disneyland Festival of Holidays Menu, Entertainment and Tips here.

Hotels of the Disneyland Resort

Disney Gingerbread Displays Grand Californian

The holiday celebration continues throughout the Disneyland Resort and even stretches into the Hotels at the Disneyland Resort. You’ll find holiday and Christmas foods tucked into every corner. We love the treat cart at Disney’s Grand Californian.

At Disneyland, an incredible gingerbread display, the “Grand” Gingerbread House, will be featured in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This display is an impressive gingerbread replica of the hotel that stands 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide. The structure is created from more than 600 pounds of gingerbread, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 250 pounds of fondant, and according to Disney “one pound of pixie dust.” This amazing display features 25 hidden Mickeys!

Disneyland Christmas Popcorn Buckets and Novelties

Disneyland has an impressive lineup of seasonal novelties this year, including popcorn buckets, straw clips, sippers, and more! This includes some very cute new items that we expect will be popular, like the Holiday Christmas Tree Truck Bucket (pictured above) and Mickey Mouse Santa Sipper.

You can see all of the 2026 Disneyland Christmas popcorn buckets and where to find them here.

Hand-Pulled Disneyland Candy Canes 2026

Candy cane

The 2026 Disneyland candy cane distribution schedule has not yet been announced, but you can see details from last year for reference.

Disneyland has announced when the popular Disneyland hand-pulled candy canes will return at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park! These candy canes are only sold on select dates in each park. This will have to be your first morning destination if you hope to secure one of these elusive treats. The Disneyland Resort is one of the few places that still uses this technique of making hand-pulled candy canes. The candy canes themselves are 18 inches long and they are delicious. Make sure you don’t miss out!

Both the Candy Palace and Trolley Treats have specific alternating days that they make the candy canes. The candy canes sell for $19.99 each and are 5 oz each. Annual Pass discounts are not applicable for purchasing a Candy Cane. See the dates below for when the Disneyland candy canes will be available!

Candy Palace at Disneyland

November 29

December 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, and 24

Trolley Treats at California Adventure

November 30

December 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25

Arrive to the park an hour before official park opening so that you can be one of the first guests into the park.

  1. Right when the gates open, head to the location in that park selling the Candy Cane! No running allowed, but move those legs quickly to get there.
  2. You’ll get to the location and get in line to get on the mobile waitlist or receive a wristband, in order to receive a return time to purchase. If you are one of the first to arrive you can purchase a candy cane immediately.
  3. You’ll then come back at your return time sent to you and wait in line to purchase.

The candy canes are extremely fragile so make sure you take care to store it in a locker or treat it like glass while it’s in your park bag so they don’t break. Scoring one of these candy canes is the ultimate foodie win for Disneyland Christmas time treats.

  1. Best travel treats? What treats, food items do you think I can fly home to Colorado? My hubby cannot join us due to illness and I want him to at least be able to taste some of the Disney Christmas Magic.

    Reply
    • You can fly anything home that doesn’t need to be refrigerated! We usually take home baked goods like cupcakes, cookies, fudge, etc. Bring along a tupperware container to pack some goodies in.

  2. Thanks for a great list! You can also get a guide at the main entrance to use in the park. I you plan on taking treats home asks them to use the cello bags and individually wrap. They stay fresh for a lot longer.
Also, is there anywhere outside the parks to enjoy the treats? Maybe at Downtown Disney or one of the hotels?
Thanks for all the info you provide.

    Reply
    • Yes! You can find many of the holiday treats in Downtown Disney and in the lobby of the Grand Californian (which will have a more limited selection) but there are options outside the parks.

  3. Can you tell me if the fireworks and other nighttime spectaculars take place and if holiday snacks are available on the WEEKDAYS during the first week of January. We are planning a trip January 2-5, 2022. Thanks.

    Reply
    • Usually the holiday season continues until the first week of January (in the past this is usually January 5-6) so yes, these should still be available.

  5. OMG!! We are arriving on November 12th and can’t wait! We haven’t been there since the pandemic so we have a lot to see and ride when we get there! Obviously we have a lot to eat too! Mahalo for sharing!

  7. Hello,

I’m so thankful for your website and for all the help it’s given in planning for our trip to Disneyland ^_^ I’m trying to print the food guide for Christmas, like the one you had for Halloween with the quick-read breakdown of holiday food and drinks by each park, Downtown Disney, and each hotel, but I’m not seeing it when I go to the ‘printables’ page. Is that still to come?

    Thank you!
