Walt Disney World recently unveiled its full calendar of 2027 dates for Disney After Hours, special late-night events providing shorter wait times for popular rides with a limited park capacity. A staple of one park’s After Hours itinerary is missing from the 2027 lineup.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Removal at Disney After Hours
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom includes opportunities to ride some of the theme park’s most popular attractions, like Space Mountain and Peter Pan’s Flight. Unique among other Walt Disney World parks with Disney After Hours, Magic Kingdom’s version of the event previously included a performance of a fireworks/projections spectacular, Disney Enchantment, during the late-night party hours.
This was in addition to the park’s regular nightly fireworks, Happily Ever After, that perform before the park closes to the general public. Therefore, attendees of Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom could see two different fireworks shows in the same night if they wanted.

When Disney updated the Disney After Hours landing page on the Walt Disney World website to add the 2027 event dates, it also removed any mention of Disney Enchantment from Magic Kingdom’s Disney After Hours lineup.
A sentence on the page previously said, “Feast your eyes on the returning nighttime spectacular Disney Enchantment, available exclusively during Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park.” That sentence has been deleted from the page, with no other fireworks show listed beyond the regular-hours performance of Happily Ever After.
Disney Enchantment was also not mentioned in the accompanying Disney Parks Blog post promoting the After Hours dates announcement. We don’t know for sure that this offering has been fully removed, but it does not appear to be returning.
Disney Enchantment first debuted for all guests in October 2021 as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, Disney World’s 50th anniversary campaign. It was performed nightly through March 2023, and later returned as a perk for Disney After Hours attendees, only performed during that special event.

Narrated by Angela Bassett and Mickey Mouse, Disney Enchantment began with a tribute to Disney World history, including audio from Roy O. Disney’s 1971 dedication speech. The show then transitioned into highlights from Disney films old and new, along the way encouraging the audience with a message: “You are the magic.” Bassett quoted the show’s signature phrase during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Disney Legends induction ceremony.
Disney After Hours returns to Magic Kingdom on select nights from January 11 through July 19, 2027. Tickets range from $189 to $209, depending on the date, an increase from the previous $175-to-$199 range despite the fireworks removal.
