Disneyland finally has a permanent location for the great, affordable, quick service option that has been a favorite for many years across three different Disney theme park resorts. This restaurant is worth leaving the parks to come enjoy.
We have been here multiple times since the restaurant opened in the new location and have also already tried the new celebrity chef restaurant upstairs. As part of the new location, there are multiple new signature offerings that we have a full review of. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including a look inside Disney World’s major attraction about to open, and Disneyland’s updated Bluey performance schedule.

Earl of Sandwich Opens in New Permanent Location
Earl of Sandwich is a wonderful hot sandwich location that has locations at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland Paris. They are known for being “the world’s greatest hot sandwich.” They also have plenty of other good food options.

Earl of Sandwich is a great affordable option for families who want to pop out of the parks for food that will appeal to the whole family. In addition to sandwiches, they also offer breakfast, salads, wraps, pizza bread, and Mac and cheese. There are also new massive cookies. More on these later! The menu is pretty big now and has options for everyone.
Disneyland previously had a huge permanent location for Earl of Sandwich that was demolished along with the old AMC Theatre to make way for a renovated western end of Downtown Disney.
Over the past couple of years, Earl of Sandwich has held court in multiple locations, with both a sit-down restaurant and a trailer with a sandwich window. Now, the work on the permanent restaurant location was completed earlier this year, and the restaurant is open.
The same building is also home to the Gordon Ramsay The Carnaby Restaurant. You can see our full review of my experience at the celebrity chef restaurant here.
The location sits at the back of the new west end courtyard in Downtown Disney that is really hopping now that it is complete. On one side is Din Tai Fung and the other is a line of speciality Disney shops and Parkside Market. There is also the new Downtown Disney west side security entrance down here. With the new Earl of Sandwich building now open, this area has really come into its own.
Disney has also been actively making use of the outdoor stage here with music throughout the day and other offerings coming up. Disney has even held movie nights out here and has more plans for weekly movies headed into the Halloween season.
The restaurant has a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is great for these couple of very hot summer months. Outside, there is both seating close to the restaurant and general seating in this new courtyard space between the restaurant and lawn.
This feels like a permanent addition that was very thoughtfully added. All of this space has added capacity and energy to Downtown Disney.
Now, turning to the food and dining experience. The restaurant has tons of staff and different counters ready to help. I was in during a weekday lunch period, and most tables were full, but a line never formed. The entire space felt lively but never crowded.
As I shared above, the menu here is big and goes beyond the signature hot sandwiches.
Here’s a look at the menu and the current prices. Hot sandwiches cost $10.99 and have options for different add-ons.
My ongoing favorite sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich is the Holiday Turkey, which features cranberry sauce and stuffing. This hot sandwich is like Thanksgiving leftovers in your mouth.
A member of my team shared that this sandwich is still just as good, so our recommendation stands.
Going into this visit, I wanted to try one of the new offerings.
They were promoting their roasted carving station Whole Roasted Pastrami Sandwich. The sandwich features pastrami, sauerkraut, and Swiss, dijonnaise & Thousand Island dressing. The sandwich comes on white or rye bread.
When this sandwich arrived, it was tender and juicy.
The pastrami melted in my mouth and was so tender when I bit into it. This is a great hot sandwich addition.
There was also a huge case of cookies featured. I just had to try some of these.
Here’s a look at the full case of cookie options. They are bigger than my hand spread out.
I chose the cookies and cream cookie that comes on top of a chocolate chip cookie.
And I chose the M&Ms sugar cookie.
Of the two, I liked the M&Ms cookie the best. Highly recommend this one!
The restaurant also has chocolate brownie bites. They come in this pack, so it is easy to put them away for a snack later in the day. These were moist and delicious.
I also had a frozen lemonade. There are quite a few different options for frozen drinks here. This was very refreshing and quite sweet.
This new Earl of Sandwich location is a worthwhile addition to your Disneyland visit and is worth leaving the parks for a great, affordable meal that has something for the entire family.
You can walk down here from the parks or easily take the monorail from Tomorrowland.
Earl of Sandwich hosted me for lunch, but we are big fans of the brand and have been here plenty of times on our own.
