One of the newest characters to debut at Disney theme parks is Bluey, the hugely popular preschool pup. Over the past few months, Disney guests have been enjoying Bluey-inspired treats and novelty items, and getting the opportunity to dance and play with Bluey and her sister, Bingo, in person. Fans should prioritize experiencing the Bluey offerings at Disneyland in California soon, because they’re going away in a few weeks.
Disneyland’s popular Bluey show will close for at least two months, with its future after that unconfirmed. We have details and dates for its closure and what may happen later. Bluey’s Best Day Ever! Closing at Disneyland
Bluey’s Best Day Ever! opened at Disneyland Park in March 2026, marking the character’s Disney theme park debut. Guests join Bluey, Bingo, and a live band in the open-air Fantasyland Theatre for an interactive stage show aimed at young kids. The space also features photo-ops inspired by the Bluey series.

Nearby at Troubadour Tavern, guests can purchase Bluey-themed food, like the Pizza Girls Baked Potato and the Pavlova Parfait, pictured above, plus the popular Bluey sipper, pictured below.
As Disneyland looks ahead to the holiday season, the theme park’s website indicates that the current location for Bluey and Bingo will be used for another offering for multiple months.
During the past few years’ holiday seasons, Fantasyland Theatre has hosted Holiday Fun With Santa & Friends!, an event space where guests can come and go as they please and experience various live entertainment offerings. These include meet-and-greets with Santa and Disney characters, music performances by The Dickens Yuletide Band, storytime, sing-alongs, crafts, and snacks.
Disneyland’s website says Holiday Fun is “scheduled to return 2026” to Fantasyland Theatre, which would mean Bluey’s Best Day Ever! will not operate during the holidays. Disneyland’s holiday season dates this year are November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027.
This effectively means that Bluey’s Best Day Ever! will close sometime before November 13, 2026. As for what happens after the holidays, Disney has not indicated either way if the upcoming Bluey closure is permanent or just for the holiday season. If it returns, it would do so no sooner than January 7, 2027. We also don’t know if the Bluey characters would also appear during the Holiday Fun offering or in another spot at the park during the period.
We’ve been watching the Disneyland website closely, holding off on writing up this news in case it was a mistake, as Disney hasn’t formally publicized Bluey’s closure. However, the Holiday Fun page has remained active with the 2026 verbiage for an entire month now, and Holiday Fun With Santa is even highlighted separately on Disneyland Resort’s main holiday season page.
Disney has not shared all of their holiday details in a release yet. We anticipate an update on this when we get closer to the start of the holidays.

Bluey and Bingo also debuted at Walt Disney World in Florida earlier this year, in an experience called Bluey’s Wild World, hosted at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests board a train to a conservation facility, where they can dance and play games with Bluey and Bingo, see live kangaroos, and look in on the park’s medical procedures for its animal residents. The attraction repurposes the former Rafiki’s Planet Watch area.
Bluey’s Wild World in Florida continues to operate with no planned closures.
