Many live productions have graced the stages, skies, and parade routes at Disneyland Resort in its 71-year history. Every fan has their favorite, and soon three live entertainment offerings from Disney history will be reintroduced to longtime visitors and experienced for the first time by new guests.
Disneyland is bringing back the park’s best fireworks show and other favorite spectaculars. We have details on what’s returning. 3 Live Productions Returning to Disneyland
Three favorite live entertainment productions are returning to Disneyland Resort in 2027. Disney announced the return engagements during Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, on August 15, 2026.

Let’s begin with two nighttime spectaculars.
Remember… Dreams Come True will return to Disneyland Park next year! This fireworks show is considered by many fans to be the best in the park’s history. It originally debuted in 2005 as part of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary celebration, and was last performed during a limited engagement in 2018. This will return in February 2027, and the show will feature new projections at Rivers of America, the facade of “it’s a small world,” and Main Street, U.S.A.
The show is narrated by Julie Andrews, who was the Official Ambassador of Disneyland’s 50th anniversary. The show’s soundtrack travels through the different areas of Disneyland Park, covering each land individually and including many beloved songs from Disneyland rides past and present.
This is Mickey Visit founder Gavin Doyle’s favorite fireworks show and he actively asked for and hopefully predicted that it would return in our D23 predictions.
Remember… Dreams Come True also adapted its introduction and finale soundtrack from Wishes, the classic fireworks show from Walt Disney World in Florida, which performed there from 2003 to 2017. Hearing the Wishes music crescendoing in a Disney theme park again will be a treat for many fans.
We anticipate Remember… Dreams Come True will be updated in some way for its 2027 return. At the very least, the section focusing on Critter Country (now Bayou Country), Fantasyland, and Mickey’s Toontown will likely change, as its featured song was “Everybody’s Got a Laughing Place” from the now-defunct Splash Mountain and the movie that inspired it, Song of the South. Disney has effectively wiped all traces of the ride and film’s soundtrack from its parks over the past few years, so we can’t imagine Disney would leave this song in the show.
Disneyland’s current fireworks show, Wondrous Journeys, will perform for the final time on August 20, 2026. Halloween Screams will begin on August 21, sometimes with fireworks, and other nights with just projections. Believe… In Holiday Magic will return for Disneyland’s holiday season from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027. After that, Remember… Dreams Come True will debut on a TBA date.

Next door at Disney California Adventure, the original World of Color will return in February 2027 in an updated take. The water fountain projection show premiered in 2010 with scenes and songs from Disney films threaded together by a theme inspired by Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color, the vintage television show.
World of Color’s show systems and infrastructure have been repurposed for different versions of the show over the years, all retaining the World of Color title moniker in some way. The version currently performing is called World of Color – ONE, and was developed for the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company in 2023.
The original World of Color was most recently performed in 2022. It features segments inspired by Enchanted, WALL-E, and Pirates of the Caribbean, among other film favorites. My personal favorite is the awesome sequence inspired by the Buzz Lightyear space opening scene from Toy Story 2.
Parades are a special Disneyland tradition, and one of the park’s hit parades of the modern era is making a comeback. Magic Happens will return in summer 2027 as Disneyland Park’s daytime parade.
Sorcerer Mickey leads the procession, with succeeding floats themed to Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Sword in the Stone, The Princess and the Frog, Moana, Coco, and Frozen 2.
Despite having debuted in 2020, the parade’s pandemic-inflicted multi-year shutdown and recurring seasonal pauses for Halloween and holiday entertainment mean that many guests have still not seen Magic Happens, even though it premiered six years ago. The parade most recently performed in 2024.
As a reminder, the Paint the Night parade will have its final performance at Disneyland Park on August 20, 2026. After that, the park will be without a full parade until A Christmas Fantasy Parade debuts for the holiday season on November 13, continuing through January 6, 2027. Sometime after that, Magic Happens will return.
During the interim fall months when Disneyland doesn’t have a parade, a smaller procession, The Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade, will perform. It’s scheduled for August 21 through October 31.
With the construction of the Coco ride, parades at Disney California Adventure are seemingly not possible for the foreseeable future.
