Stepping up to this build-your-own salad counter, you could be in New York City or San Francisco. The array of ingredients and options stands out as something worlds away from the Walt Disney World theme parks. That’s partially because you can find this food option outside of the theme parks.
Here are the details on this salad bar and what else you can find here. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including LEGO’s first major Disneyland set in years coming soon, and a new Disney offering to fill a void after their crackdown on guest services from vendors.

Disney World Salad Bar Option
Inside the Gasparilla Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is a variety of solid lunch items. We covered these as a recommendation of where to eat beyond Magic Kingdom. That is notably the worst Disney World theme park for quick service food; however, there are great options just outside the park at the surrounding resorts.
Previously, I’ve written about how much I enjoyed the sandwiches here and the relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is off the lobby above the leisure cruise boat dock, where people can book out for fireworks cruises.
In addition to the sandwiches, they have a salad bar where you can select your own toppings and then have the chef toss the salad right there with your selection of dressing.
The price for the salad was $11.29 without a protein, $13.79 with chicken, $14.29 with tuna, and $15.29 with steak. You can choose between a bed of spring mix or romaine.
Here’s a closer look at what was offered the last time that I was there. There was a big selection that included everything from chickpeas to olives, sunflower seeds, peas, broccoli, etc., with different dressing options and cheeses.
After they toss the salad in the metal bowl, they move it to your container and add the protein on top.

They also offer cold sandwiches, which include a Caprese Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich, and Roast Beef Sandwich, and hot sandwiches, including a burger, BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and chicken club.
They also offer bowls and flat breads. We’ll be back here again soon to try those offerings.
The baked goods in the case are also delicious. The cookies are massive and a perfect sweet treat to balance out that healthy salad.
The options are available for both lunch and dinner.
For anyone who also visits Disneyland, this is a restaurant that is almost on the level of the Craftsman Restaurant, which is the quick service restaurant for the flagship resort at Disneyland. That makes sense considering the Grand Floridian is the flagship for Walt Disney World.
Have you ever eaten at the Gasparilla Island Grill? Do you agree with these recommendations? Would you eat here again or recommend anywhere else?
