While Disneyland is known for its high-quality attractions and entertainment, it is also famous for its wide array of dining options, which range from quick bites to signature fine dining experiences. The pricing of these luxurious Disney meals may be a little shocking, but there is a good reason why they are popular.
Many visitors choose to splurge on table-service dining during their visit to Disneyland. We will share the prices of the most expensive meals available at the resort, and whether or not they’re worth it based on our experience. Disneyland’s Most Expensive Dining Experiences
Disneyland has a handful of upscale dining experiences that are offered at quite a high cost per person, including some famous options like Blue Bayou and Napa Rose, as well as a secret dining experience you may have never heard of. While Disneyland’s upscale dining is a little more limited than Disney World’s due to the difference in the size of the resorts, these are all still solid options for a splurge.

Starting off our list is a newly renovated fine dining restaurant at Disney’s luxurious Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The updated design is inspired by the Northern Californian Arts and Crafts tradition, featuring various details that pay homage to the colors and textures of the Napa Valley region. The enhanced menu highlights seasonal flavors, with ingredients sourced from leading producers in California and beyond.
The main dining room offers a four-course tasting menu. The Vinter’s Table Menu costs $188 per person, with optional wine pairings at $150, $300 or $500. The bar and lounge features a separate à la carte menu with small plates and offerings including caviar service, seafood preparations, and charcuterie.
For an even more elevated experience, Napa Rose offers seating at the Chef’s Counter, where up to 18 guests can dine with views of the exhibition kitchen, watching the culinary team at work. This experience costs $250 per person. A private dining room is also available for groups, priced at $300 per person, plus a $1600 room fee.
Napa Rose is undoubtedly a pretty massive splurge for the average Disneyland visitor, especially operating under the assumption that you are adding this on top of a full trip with theme park tickets and hotel accommodations.
However, I will say that the experience is impeccable. The service and ambiance are top-tier, and each plate is masterfully crafted. You can see our recent review of the experience here. It was easily one of the best and most memorable meals I’ve ever had. This is definitely worth it as a major splurge for an anniversary, birthday, life milestone, or some other special occasion.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Disney’s Grand Californian
Also hosted at the Napa Rose, Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures is a luxurious character dining experience featuring a 3-course breakfast and appearances from various Disney princesses. Princesses take pictures with guests upon their arrival and engage in special activities during the experience.
The menu features upscale offerings like lobster tartelettes crowned with caviar and turkey & cheese crepes for appetizers; breakfast favorites and brunch items like shrimp cocktail, carved-to-order steak, and more for main courses; and themed desserts like Ariel’s Under the Sea Coconut Panna Cotta, Belle’s Enchanted Lemon Teacake, and Pocohontas Colors of the Wind Valrhona Chocolate Cheesecake.
The breakfast costs $149 per person, regardless of age. This is quite a big splurge, but keep in mind that it’s the only dedicated Princess character dining at Disneyland. For those who love Disney Princesses, it can definitely be worth the cost to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday. Younger kids will love all of the interaction, and adults will enjoy the high-quality food offerings and beautiful atmosphere.
Blue Bayou Restaurant
Arguably the most famous upscale dining experience at Disneyland, Blue Bayou offers an immersive experience set in the twilight bayou scene of Pirates of the Caribbean. The restaurant is famous for its ambiance, with balloon lanterns overhead and fireflies in the distance, views of the Pirates of the Caribbean boats floating by, and the sounds of crickets and frogs from the bayou.
This remains one of the most highly-demanded experiences at Disneyland, with reservations booking up extremely quickly. It’s not quite as expensive as the other items on this list, and Disney shares that prices normally range from $35 to $59.99 per adult. Add drinks and gratuity, and you’re looking at a larger bill. There is also a seasonal prix fixe menu (currently offered for $89 per person).
There is a reason why this ranks near the top of the Mickey Visit best Disneyland restaurants, but doesn’t quite make the number one spot. The dark and moody ambiance isn’t for everyone, especially if you’re sitting at a table far away from the water, and some have commented that the quality of the food has decreased noticeably over the years.
We still think that Blue Bayou delivers a great experience if you make sure to optimize the ambiance by sitting at a table on the edge of the water overlooking the boats. If you are going to splurge on this experience, we recommend asking and waiting for this table type. As for the food quality, members of our Mickey Visit team have had solid dining experiences at this location in recent years. I would say that this is still worth it, but weigh all of this and decide if it’s your cup of tea.
World of Color Dessert Party
A decently big splurge is the World of Color Dessert Party, which includes a seated viewing area for the World of Color show in Disney California Adventure, as well as beverages and a dessert plate of snacks and sweets. The reserved seating includes tables with folding chairs or a high-top table with director chairs. The experience costs $94 per person, and full payment is due at the time of booking.
There are a few pros and cons to the experience. There is no denying that this experience is on the pricier side, especially given that it doesn’t include a full meal, but what you’re really paying for is the convenience of sitting down after a long day of walking in the parks. You may not think seated viewing is necessary, but you’ll be thanking yourself for the break when your feet are sore and tired. Seating is communal, so you may be seated with another party. Keep this in mind in case it is a dealbreaker, but it shouldn’t detract much from the experience.
Overall, we think it’s worth the splurge to be seated during World of Color and enjoy unlimited beverages with your desserts. While the dessert box isn’t the most luxurious, the unlimited drinks elevate the experience. This is a fun experience to splurge on, but the main splurge here is focused on convenience, not out of necessity. Having a table and chair during a nighttime spectacular is a rare thing at Disney and may be worth the cost.
Carthay Circle Restaurant
Along with Napa Rose, Disneyland’s other restaurant categorized under “Fine/Signature Dining” is Carthay Circle Restaurant, which evokes the movie palaces of Hollywood’s golden age. This restaurant is modeled after the original Carthay Circle Restaurant in Los Angeles, where Walt Disney’s first feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, premiered in 1937.
The glamorous design of the restaurant, coupled with rare artifacts and references to Disney history, makes this a must-do for the atmosphere alone, but the food also really shines. Carthay Circle regularly rotates its menu to highlight seasonal Southern California flavours, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Similar to the Blue Bayou, prices range from $35 to $59.99 per adult, so it’s a pricier meal when all is said and done.
If I were looking to enjoy some very high-quality food at Disneyland without the prices of Napa Rose, this would easily be my top pick. For an even more relaxed experience, Carthay Circle Lounge offers a great menu and a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the action on Buena Vista Street.
21 Royal Dining Experience

Last but not least, we have the ultimate Disneyland dining experience that you may have never heard of. This is the ultimate luxury dining experience available for parties of up to 12 guests, including admission and valet parking for Disney’s Grand Californian, which reportedly costs $18,000+.
The experience starts with professional butlers serving signature cocktails in the salon, then guests go out to the patio for a reception. During the night, guests have the chance to explore the Dream Suite, where the experience is hosted. For dinner, guests dine at a table with white linens, flowers, and gold-plated dinnerware and fine crystal.

The menu is put together by a culinary team of Disneyland Resort Signature Chefs and an expert sommelier. For the meal, the chefs work with both local and international premier suppliers to gather top-quality ingredients, and the culinary team selects pairings from the 21 Royal wine collection. The night concludes with dessert on the private balcony overlooking the Rivers of America and entertainment on certain nights (like Fantasmic!).
We cannot say whether or not 21 Royal is worth it, as we have not experienced it, but it is worth mentioning as the most lavish and expensive dinner offered at Disneyland. It promises to be an incredibly memorable experience with quality food in a historic Disney setting.
