Hyperspace Mountain Returns to Disneyland
Hyperspace Mountain, Disneyland’s Star Wars-themed overlay of Space Mountain, returned to the park on April 28, 2026.
This seasonal version of the classic ride reimagines the roller coaster as a battle between Rebel X-wings and Imperial TIE fighter ships, all set to John Williams’s Star Wars music.

Until now, Disney hadn’t mentioned how long Hyperspace Mountain would be open for the 2026 season. Disneyland just announced Hyperspace Mountain will continue operating through June 1, 2026.

More Star Wars Changes at Disneyland
The limited-time engagement of Hyperspace Mountain is one of several new Star Wars seasonal offerings and permanent additions at Disneyland.
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite takes place April 28, April 30, May 4, and May 6, 2026. The after-hours event features special character greetings, food, and live entertainment.
Starting April 29, the timeline of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will expand with characters from the original Star Wars trilogy: Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Darth Vader. The same day, the land will begin playing John Williams’s Star Wars soundtracks as its background loop instead of music-less sound effects.

On May 22, a new version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will add the Mandalorian and Grogu to the attraction, along with new planets and updated technology.
Unlike the limited-time Hyperspace Mountain, the changes to the Galaxy’s Edge timeline and Smugglers Run are permanent.
