New Details On Dining Location Closure and Replacement
We previously reported how earlier this month, Disneyland filed a permit with the city of Anaheim for a 1,200-square-foot “remodel of [an] existing beverage/food unit” to prepare for a “new tenant,” with the location listed referring to Jamba. Bopomofo Instagram account.

This shop, famous for its smoothies, juices, and bowls, has been operating for 23 years and has been around almost as long as Downtown Disney itself. After its remodeling in 2020, it was renamed from Jamba Juice to Jamba.
At the time the permit was filed, we mentioned that the replacement tenant was likely the new boba tea shop that was previously announced for the district. This has now been confirmed, along with closing details. Disneyland officials shared that Jamba will permanently close on July 6, 2026, to make way for Bopo Go. Its final day of operation will be July 5.

Disney first announced that Bopo Go! would be joining the Downtown Disney lineup last year. This is a new concept, inspired by convenience stores in Asia, and is planned specifically for the district by Eric Wang and Philip Wang, co-owners of Bopomofo Café.
In the original announcement, Disney shared that “the new Bopo Go! will serve the same high-quality, authentic boba/bubble tea using only real fruits, vegetables, lactose-free milk, oat milk, cane or brown sugar and no artificial ingredients.” Their tea is sourced from farmers in Taiwan, and their matcha is ceremonial grade sourced from Japan.

While Jamba is a longtime favorite that was especially popular with teens, this new boba concept looks to be a promising replacement. We do not yet have a firm opening date for the new shop at the time of writing.
This closure takes place amidst several other larger changes to Downtown Disney. Over the past few years, Catal and Uva Bar were replaced by Paseo and Centrico, Tortilla Jo’s by a new steakhouse and quick-service barbecue concept (currently in progress), and La Brea Bakery (home to Early of Sandwich for a time) by a massive new Porto’s Bakery location. You can see all details about the Disney dining locations planned in 2026 here.
The OC Register confirmed our previous report and speculation about the closing.
