Blue Bayou Restaurant will close for refurbishment starting May 4, 2026. That same day, Pirates of the Caribbean will close for a refurbishment of its own.

The restaurant and the ride are connected, with the Blue Bayou Restaurant’s faux-moonlit dining room located inside one of the opening scenes of Pirates of the Caribbean.
On April 9, Disneyland added to the website refurbishment calendar that Blue Bayou Restaurant will reopen on May 21, 2026. However, Pirates of the Caribbean will remain closed a bit longer.

With the adjoining attraction still being closed when Blue Bayou Restaurant reopens, Disney says “views will be obstructed and guests may hear some refurbishment noise.”
Disney has shared with us that Pirates of the Caribbean’s refurbishment is expected to last around a month, but no specific reopening date has been announced yet.
In the cases of both Blue Bayou Restaurant and Pirates of the Caribbean, we expect both refurbishments to involve standard maintenance as part of Disneyland’s plans for ongoing upkeep of attractions rather than introducing major changes.
Refurbishments Throughout Disneyland Resort
The upcoming refurbishments of Blue Bayou Restaurant and Pirates of the Caribbean are among several maintenance projects happening throughout Disneyland Resort.
