Disneyland Trader Sam’s Closure Delayed
Starting March 2, 2026, indoor dining at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will be unavailable due to ongoing refurbishment. Originally, this closure was scheduled for Feb. 17, 2026. We are unsure of the reason for this delay, and currently, we only have a spring 2026 completion time frame. Guests will still have access to outdoor dining at Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill during the closure. We previously wondered if there would be changes to the restaurant, but Disneyland has confirmed this is just a standard refurbishment.

Trader Sam’s opened at the Disneyland Hotel in 2011 and quickly became a popular dining spot. It is even ranked as one of our top Disneyland restaurants for 2026. The restaurant’s theming comes from the Jungle Cruise, for which Trader Sam is noted as the “head salesman.” Guests can check out the many souvenirs and artifacts that Sam has brought back from his travels that are on display throughout the bar. There is also a similar location at Disney World’s Polynesian Resort.
The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11:55 p.m., and also offers breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. At 8 p.m., the restaurant becomes restricted to guests 21 years or older. These guests can enjoy cocktails like the Krakatoa Punch or the Mosquito Mojito. Non-alcoholic beverages like the Polynesian Punch or the Skipper Sipper are also available.
Attraction Closures at Disneyland
A few popular Disneyland attractions are currently closed or will be closing for renovations soon. Jungle Cruise is currently closed for refurbishment and does not yet have a reopening date. Space Mountain will be temporarily closing for maintenance on Feb. 23, 2026, and is scheduled to reopen on Feb. 27, 2026.
Disneyland has added two more attractions to the closure schedule. On March 30, 2026, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin and the Disneyland Monorail will close for refurbishment. Disney has not added a reopening date for these attractions yet.
