Universal Closing Part of Studio Tram Tour and Teases New Ride Coming Soon

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the closing date for a segment of The World-Famous Studio Tour and shared a look at a highly-anticipated new experience coming soon.

The Studio Tour is one of the key attractions and best Universal Studios Hollywood rides at the park that takes guests on an hour-long journey going behind the scenes of working film and television sets, featuring scenes with some thrilling special effects and experiences inspired by favorite films. Now, Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the closure date for a segment of the tour this spring as a new addition to the park is in the works.

Universal Studios Hollywood has shared that the last day to experience “Fast & Furious—Supercharged” is March 10, 2025. This segment is the finale of the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood which takes guests on a high-speed chase with special effects and 3D-HD imagery on 360-degree screens.

“Fast & Furious—Supercharged” is closing as Universal Studios Hollywood's upcoming new ride themed to the Fast and Furious saga will be opening in the park. “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” opening in 2026, will be the first major roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.

A new attraction will be announced soon for the Studio Tour that will take the place of the current Fast and Furious experience as the grand finale. We don't have any details yet on what the likely replacement will be but I would expect it to be a big movie franchise from Universal. It's interesting that they decided not to just keep the

There was just a major construction milestone accomplished for the new roller coaster. The track piece is now going over the walkway to the escalator down to the lower lot. It will be incredible to see the roller coaster looping just above guests. Perhaps it will bring the feelings of watching the thrill of the Velocicoaster at Universal Islands of Adventure.
