Universal Celebrating First-Ever Butterbeer Season in Hollywood and Orlando

Butterbeer from Harry Potter first appeared in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and fans have been able to enjoy this iconic drink pulled straight from the wizarding world for themselves at Universal parks around the world. With flavors reminiscent of shortbread and butterscotch, butterbeer is offered in several forms for fans to enjoy as cold, frozen, hot, and non-dairy Butterbeer beverages and as Butterbeer fudge, potted cream, and ice cream.

Now, Universal will be celebrating its first-ever “Butterbeer Season” at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood! This special offering will give fans the chance to enjoy Butterbeer in new ways starting this spring.

Butterbeer Season at Universal Offerings

The Butterbeer Season celebration at Universal will start on March 15 and continue through April 30, 2024. Both destinations will roll out treats including an ice lolly featuring the Butterbeer flavor in popsicle form. New Butterbeer caramels will also be available at Universal Orlando Resort only. For a limited time during the celebration, cold and frozen Butterbeer will be available for purchase in a collectible silver stein.

During the celebration, Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream counter will debut in Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. The new addition, opening on March 29, will be located in Honeydukes and offer 10 soft serve ice cream flavors, including Butterbeer, Banana, Chocolate, Mint, Orange, Vanilla, Toffee Nut, Granny Smith Apple, Pistachio, and Toffee Apple, served in a cup or waffle cone.

At the Universal Orlando Resort, guests can celebrate the Butterbeer Season at both The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventures and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.
