As the story goes, a tremendous storm came through and trashed a previously impeccable tropical paradise. You'll find items like nets and surfboards strewn about and even see a ship that crashed right on top of a volcano! At Typhoon Lagoon, you'll find a lazy river, body slides, raft slides, a kiddie play area, and the largest wave pool in North America. Guests have the opportunity to book a surf session before or after park hours for an additional fee. Both Open Surf sessions or Private Surf events are available.
Typhoon Lagoon also has multiple dining locations where you can get a bite to eat, a refreshing drink, or even a delightful dessert like their Sand Pail Sundae! Disney Typhoon Lagoon Tickets
Let's first take a look at the different ticket options and prices that Disney offers for Typhoon Lagoon.
- Single Day Tickets – Disney offers two different Single Day tickets for Typhoon Lagoon. The one that will best suit you will depend on your availability.
- 1-Day Water Park Ticket – $74 per Adult or $68 per Child (Ages 3-9)
- 1-Day Water Park Ticket with Blockout Dates – $64 per Adult or $58 per Child (Ages 3-9)
- Water Park Seasonal Pass – If you're planning on visiting the water parks more than once over an extended period of time, the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass is the best deal that Disney is currently offering. With the seasonal pass, you can visit either of Disney's water parks as many times as you'd like now through May 24th, 2024.
- $79 per Adult or $73 per Child (Ages 3-9)
- Water Park and Sports Option – Water Park and Sports is a theme park ticket option that allows you to visit one theme park as well as another Walt Disney World location in a single day. You are NOT able to select this option with a 1-Day park ticket. You must have a multi-day park ticket in order to make this selection. This option is a $70 upgrade from a standard theme park ticket. You can choose which other Disney location you'd like to visit from these options:
- Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
- Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course

Disney Typhoon Lagoon Tickets Add-On Options
Park Hopper Plus Option – Park Hopper Plus is a theme park ticket option that allows you to visit multiple theme parks in a single day as well as one other Walt Disney World location in the same day. This ticket option is a $20 upgrade from the standard Park Hopper Ticket. You can choose which other Disney location you'd like to visit from these options:
- Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
- Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
- FootGolf at Disney's Oak Trail
- Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one round; prior to 4pm)
- Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one round; prior to 4pm)
Water Park and Sports Option – Access to one theme park and one additional Walt Disney World location in a single day. This ticket option can only be chosen with a multi-day park ticket.
Park Hopper Plus Option – Access to multiple theme parks and one additional Walt Disney World location in a single day. This ticket option can be chosen with a single or multi-day park ticket.

Florida Resident Discounts
Unfortunately, at this time, there are no Florida resident discounts available for Disney Water Park tickets. However, the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass may be a good option for Florida residents if they plan to visit the water parks multiple times before May 24th, 2024.
Military Disney World Tickets
Walt Disney World offers Military discount tickets to eligible service members of the U.S. Military. When choosing the Park Hopper Plus option, Military personnel will have tickets that grant them access to multiple theme parks and one other Walt Disney World location in a single day.. including Typhoon Lagoon! (When open.) Here are the available discount ticket options:
- 4-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket (Purchase now through December 17th, 2024)
- With the Park Hopper Option – $369 plus tax
- With the Park Hopper Plus Option – $399 plus tax
- 5-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket (Purchase now through December 16, 2024)
- With the Park Hopper Option – $389 plus tax
- With the Park Hopper Plus Option – $419 plus tax
- 6-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket (Purchase now through December 15th, 2024)
- With the Park Hopper Option – $409 plus tax
- With the Park Hopper Plus Option – $439 plus tax
Purchases of these discounted tickets must be made directly from U.S. Military base ticket offices. Individual base ticket offices may have the Disney Military Salute tickets available for less than the prices listed by Disney.
More Military Options
Shades of Green also offers discounted tickets for eligible members of the Military. There is a wider variety of options available for Military personnel through the Shades of Green website. You'll find everything from single day tickets to annual passes! Shades of Green does offer tickets with water park access through the Water Park and Sports option as well as the Park Hopper Plus option. However, they also sell Disney Water Park tickets individually!
- Single Day Tickets – Shades of Green offers two different single day tickets. Again, you should choose which ticket is best for you based on your availability.
- 1-Day Water Park Ticket – $74 for Adults or $68 for Children (Ages 3-9)
- 1-Day Water Park Ticket with Blockout Dates – $63.75 for Adults or $57.25 for Children (Ages 3-9)
To purchase tickets from Shades of Green, an order form must be submitted online. You will first need to download and fill out the order form. Then you will submit your order through their webform.
Annual Passholders Disney Typhoon Lagoon Tickets
All of the annual passes that Walt Disney World currently offers can be upgraded to include access to the water parks. Right now, there is a total of four annual passes that are available. Each pass includes entrance into the theme parks, complimentary parking, and savings on select dining, shopping, entertainment, and more!
The available Walt Disney World Annual Passes are:
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass – $439 plus tax
- Available for Florida Residents only.
- Good for reservation-based admission on most weekdays. (Subject to blockout dates)
- Disney Pirate Pass – $799 plus tax
- Available for Florida Residents only.
- Good for reservation-based admission on most days. (Subject to blockout dates)
- Disney Sorcerer Pass – $999 plus tax
- Available for Disney Vacation Club Members and Florida Residents only.
- Good for reservation-based admission on most days. (Subject to blockout dates)
- Disney Incredi-Pass – $1,449 plus tax
- Available for all Guests.
- Good for reservation-based admission. (NO blockout dates)
ALL Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can upgrade their passes for only $99 to include the Water Park and Sports option. This would then grant them access to Typhoon Lagoon!
Wholesale Store Disney Typhoon Lagoon Tickets
Oftentimes, wholesale stores will run specials or deals on Walt Disney World tickets. While looking for deals on tickets to Typhoon Lagoon, I specifically checked out Costco and Sam's Club.
Currently, Costco does not have any savings specifically for Walt Disney World tickets. They do, however, feature current resort deals as well as tickets to both of Disney World's Christmas parties: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights. For these deals and more, you can head over to their Walt Disney World Page on Costco Travel.
Sam's Club, on the other hand, does have Walt Disney World tickets with access to the Disney Water Parks. Standard tickets are available with the option to upgrade to Water Park and Sport or Park Hopper Plus. They also have stand alone water park tickets!

- 1-Day Water Park Ticket – $78.81 per Adult or $72.42 per Child (Ages 3-9)

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is closing temporarily while refurbishments are being made.
No, you do not need a reservation for Typhoon Lagoon. All you need in order enter is valid water park admission. Surfing sessions are the only thing at Typhoon Lagoon that require a reservation. These sessions take place before and after normal operating hours.
Due to the multiple water slides, kiddie play area, lazy river, dining locations, and the largest wave pool in North America, many find that it is worth it to go to Typhoon Lagoon. It is a great option for a fun and relaxing day during your trip to Walt Disney World.
Typhoon Lagoon is not included in standard theme park tickets. Typhoon Lagoon has stand alone tickets for entrance. Currently, there is also a Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass that's available. If you don't wish to purchase stand alone tickets to the water park, you can upgrade your theme park tickets to the Water Park and Sports option or the Park Hopper Plus option. These ticket upgrades would include access to Typhoon Lagoon.
