Disneyland 70th Anniversary Decor
Across the resort, you’ll find decor for the celebration in the 70th anniversary color scheme!
In the center of Town Square, there is a special anniversary installation featuring Mickey and Minnie. You’ll also find anniversary multi-colored banners and bunting throughout Main Street U.S.A.
The castle is decorated with a special 70th medallion for the anniversary as well! We were excited when we first saw the concept art for this, and it looks great in person.
We think the color scheme for the 70th looks awesome. The decor is eye-catching and cheerful, but it still blends in nicely with the castle.
Here is a look at the medallion at night with the castle all lit up!
The marching band has some fun new designs on their hats for the 70th anniversary celebration!
Here is a closer look at the conductor’s hat…
During the 70th anniversary, there is a special tour that will be offered called “A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour at Disneyland Resort.” This guided tour will include rare stories about Disneyland’s past, rides on some original attractions, a reserved viewing area for the Paint the Night parade, and more.
There are some fun designs on the water cups for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary as well! We love these.
The Disneyland Monorail is all dressed up in the 70th anniversary colors!
In the esplanade between the parks, you’ll find a 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle, featuring glass panels and charms representing the five original lands.
Here is a glimpse at the sculpture in the evening with the Disneyland fireworks in the background! It makes this a cool place to watch.
Over at Disney California Adventure, Buena Vista Street is decorated with cheerful 70th anniversary decor!
A similar installation to the one in Town Square is also featured near Carthay Circle in Disney California Adventure, featuring Donald and Goofy.
The exterior of Carthay Circle Restaurant is decorated for the 70th anniversary, and each evening, there is a special moment of music, lights, and projection effects set to the tune of the “Celebrate Happy” anniversary theme song.
Downtown Disney is also decorated for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration! Check out the cool nighttime lighting for this installment featuring Elsa and Anna.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Character Outfits
Mickey and Friends are also sporting some new looks for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Clarabelle, Chip, Dale, and Pluto all have special outfits. Each character features a slightly different color combination of the celebration’s signature royal blue, magenta, yellow, and light blue color scheme. We got a sneak peek of these new looks as part of a media event ahead of the celebration’s official start date on May 16.
