New Disney Character Debuts Today at Disney World and Later This Month at Disneyland

Disney announced that a new character will soon be greeting guests at Disney Parks around the world! This news comes a few weeks prior to the release of Disney's upcoming animated movie Wish this month on November 22, 2023.

New Disney Character Coming to Disney Parks

In celebration of Disney's upcoming animated movie Wish, the main character from the film, Asha, will soon be greeting guests at EPCOT, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris.

Here's a look at Asha from Disney's ‘Wish' posing on stage with the directors of the film, Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn.

Disney's Wish follows Asha as she makes a powerful wish that is answered by a cosmic force, Star. Together, Asha and Star must confront King Magnifico, the ruler of Rosas, to save Asha's community. The movie features the voice talents of Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, and it's directed by director Chris Buck (Frozen, Frozen 2) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (Raya and the Last Dragon).

The movie will debut on November 22nd, 2023.

Wish Water Short at Disney California Adventure

Disney announced that there is a new water short featuring Asha and Star from Wish ahead of “World of Color – Season of Light,” the Christmas nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park. This will be available for a limited time starting November 17th!

When Will Asha Come to Disney Parks?

At Disney World, Asha will start meeting guests as of November 1, at EPCOT! You can see her at the gazebo near the entrance to World Showcase.

Asha will arrive at Disneyland beginning November 22, appearing outside The Royal Hall in Fantasyland.
