Indiana Jones Stunt Goes Wrong

Indina Jones Show

During Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Hollywood Studios on December 30, 2025, a 400lb boulder prop became dislodged from its track, and a cast member was injured as he stopped it before it reached the audience.

This popular show recreates scenes from the Indiana Jones films while also demonstrating how the movie stunts are performed. Guests watch performers execute choreographed fight sequences, high falls, explosions, and practical effects on a detailed movie set inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark. And yes, this includes the famous boulder scene from the film.

A Disney spokesperson told reporter Scott Gustin that the element of the show will be modified, “We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering. Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.”

This was confirmed today as the show no longer features the boulder scene and has been replaced with an Indiana Jones stunt person performing a flip before the scene ends. This is likely a temporary modification as Disney needs to complete a safety review to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Heroic Cast Member Prevents Guest Injuries

Indiana Jones Stunt Show

This 400lb rubber ball is part of a scene in the show that recreates the iconic moment from Raiders of the Lost Ark, when Indiana Jones outruns the massive boulder after triggering a trap. The heroic cast member’s quick thinking prevented guest injuries as he stopped it before it reached the audience.

The cast member’s family shared an update on social media, writing, “This heroic cast member is our dear friend Robert. He received six stitches and is recovering in the hospital. He is a former stunt performer, and his quick thinking helped prevent injuries to many others. Please keep him in your prayers.”
