Disney Cruise Line goes out of its way to ensure guests have the best experience with impressive customer service that stretches from its hospitality to entertainment and ship designs. Disney Cruise Line ships are created with immense level of detail by Disney Imagineering and these ships are some of the most beautiful cruise line ships you'll ever experience.
What really sets Disney Cruise Line apart is the over the top customer service during this experience. Whether it's enjoying the rotational dining experience unique to Disney Cruises or the level of attention from your stateroom attendant, the experience is made extra magical because of the crew.
I just went behind the scenes with the Disney Cruise Line officers on the Disney Wish and learned an incredible fact about how Disney Cruises go above and beyond for their deck entertainment.

Behind the Scenes with Disney Cruise Line Officers
During my most recent Disney Wish cruise, I was given the opportunity to chat with the leading officers of Disney Cruise entertainment and hospitality, Christiaan and Alberto.
They shared some great behind the scenes information about the dedication that goes into ensuring a successful guest experience on a Disney Cruise.
How Disney Cruises Avoid Bad Weather

My favorite behind the scenes tip that I learned was how clever Disney is at navigating away from bad weather to ensure a great guest experience.
There is one big advantage that Disney Cruise Line ships have over other Disney experiences like the theme parks. If there is a storm impacting the fireworks or even just the experience of enjoying the pool deck, they can simply just go in another direction!
The first thing I thought of after learning that is what a big advantage a cruise has over the theme parks for that reason. You can't just pick up Disneyland and move it when the fireworks are going to get cancelled for high winds or move Walt Disney World if it rains too hard. The Disney Cruise Line fleets have that advantage because they can simply sail another way.
Disney Is The Only Cruise Line That Does Fireworks
Disney is the only cruise line that sets off fireworks at sea and there is a lot behind the scenes that go into making sure that this happens.
Fireworks are shown during Pirates Night and themed cruises like Marvel Day at Sea. If you end up sailing on a Marvel Day at Sea you may actually end up seeing fireworks two nights if you pick a long enough cruise as they will also include Pirate Night!
The cruise directors shared that the ship's navigation team will actively be watching the weather to avoid storms but especially on nights when fireworks are in the plans! In fact, if the wind gets in the way of the fireworks, they can simply just turn the ship around in a big circle so it's facing the right direction for the show to still go on.

We also learned more behind the scenes at just how impressive Pirate Night is on Disney Cruise Line. It takes so many different teams on the crew to make it happen.
Pirate Night isn't just fireworks and stage shows, the dedication to immersion is carried out from the pirate music playing onboard, the pirate themed menus in the rotational dining, and the stateroom attendants creating pirate themed towel animals!
For Pirate Night to be successful, it truly takes a team effort from all the amazing crew members on the Disney Cruise Line ship.
Disney Also Tries to Avoid Rain for Better Pool Days
Not only does the navigation team on the Disney Cruise actively sail into clearer waters to ensure the fireworks happen but they also do it for sunnier skies to enjoy the pool deck.
On one of the last days of my most recent Disney Cruise, the crew actually came on the intercom and told everyone they were actively trying to find a place to sail to to avoid the rain that was sneaking up on us all day.
As someone who is usually a Disney parks person, I loved learning about how much flexibility the cruises have in this way!
I was invited by Disney to experience the Disney Wish but all my opinions are my own.
