Fort Lauderdale Disney Cruise Port

The Disney Cruise Line's dedicated cruise terminal at Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, opened in late 2023. The Disney Cruise Line is located in Terminal 4.

This Disney Cruise Port is located near three international airports making this an extremely easy cruise port to travel to. Fort Lauderdale is right on the beaches of Florida and is also just a short drive away from the Florida Everglades. Fort Lauderdale is often called the “Venice of Florida” because of all the canals that run through the town.

When picking a hotel in Fort Lauderdale near the Disney Cruise Port, you need to decide what interests your family most. Would you rather have beach access? That may come at a higher cost but worth it for some families. Do you want to be near general shopping malls? There's big box stores near the Fort Lauderdale airport with hotels nearby. Do you want to be near dining, shopping, and art galleries? Then there are hotels located near Las Olas Blvd. Fort Lauderdale is known for its art scene and Las Olas Blvd is full of amazing art galleries to walk through.

This is the best way to organize our list of best hotels near Disney Cruise Port in Fort Lauderdale! Location of your hotel should be your first decision.

Hotels Near Las Olas Blvd

The only hotel that is located directly on Las Olas Blvd is the Riverside Hotel. This historic hotel is right in the middle of Las Olas Blvd making it just steps away from all the shopping, dining, and art galleries that make this street in Fort Lauderdale so popular. Since this hotel is such a prime location, it has a price tag to match (average around $350 per night) and this option can be a bit of a splurge.

For more affordable options still within walking distance to Las Olas Blvd, there is also the Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale which is located on the far west end of Las Olas Blvd, right before the street begins, which will have a more affordable nightly rate but still close proximity to Las Olas Blvd. This hotel starts around $185 per night.

Hampton By Hilton Downtown Fort Lauderdale is a few blocks distance to both Las Olas Blvd and Wilton Manors and starts at around $130 per night. This option includes breakfast and is a bit more affordable while still being close to the popular downtown options.

Beach Hotels in Fort Lauderdale

If your family wants close beach access, there's a few popular hotels that work well for that purpose. Having beach access can be a huge perk if you want to some time to relax on the beach before or after your Disney Cruise. Keep in mind you will pay a higher price per night for this beach access especially if the hotel has a private beach. Hotels in this price range vary from $350 per night to as high as $600 per night.

The Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach – a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is an older beach hotel in Fort Lauderdale but it provides closer access to the beach at a more affordable price than some of the competitors in the area. The hotel's resort fees cover the cost of bikes, beach towels, and chairs if you want to enjoy the beach during your stay. This hotel starts around $250 a night including the resort fee.

The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa is another beach hotel option in Fort Lauderdale with private beach access. This updated Marriott gets great reviews for its cleanliness, beach access, and customer service. This hotel starts around $360 a night including the resort fee.

One of the most luxurious options in the area is the Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club which offers private beach access, upscale amenities and rooms, and great dining options. Access to this popular beach resort and club will run an average of $600 per night so this is one of the most expensive hotels in the area near the Disney cruise port.

Hotels By Dania Pointe Shopping District and Airport

Fort Lauderdale

The Dania Pointe shopping district is a new and upcoming area in Fort Lauderdale that is right next to the Fort Lauderdale airport. There are numerous hotels surrounding this new shopping area and many of them include free airport shuttles. Dania Pointe has stores like American Eagle, Aerie, Build a Bear, JCrew, Urban Outfitters, Nike Clearance Store, and more. The dining options in this area include Starbucks, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, First Watch, and other popular chains.

AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport is a new Marriott hotel just a 4-minute walk from Dania Pointe shopping center that provides a complimentary airport shuttle. This hotel is also reasonably priced at around $150 per night.

There is another newer Marriott right next door to this one, Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport, which offers similar benefits with larger rooms and options. This hotel starts around $211 per night.

If you're looking for even cheaper options, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port is another hotel within walking distance just ten minutes down the road which starts at around $95 per night for their standard suite. Hyatt House Fort Lauderdale Airport – South & Cruise Port is right next door, a few minutes closer to Dania Pointe, and starts at around $134 per night.

Fort Lauderdale Hotels with Cruise Port Shuttles

There are many options that provide shuttles to the cruise port which can be handy especially since not all rideshare drivers may be familiar with how to access the area. We ran into this when taking a rideshare to the Disney Cruise terminal, our rideshare driver had no clue how to find it and we spot a lot of time driving in circles.

The Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port provides a complimentary airport shuttles and a shuttle to the port with rates starting at $126 per night.

The Candlewood Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise offers a shuttle service to the cruise port for $8 with room rates starting at $140 per night.

The Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port provides free transfers to the cruiser port with rates starting at $175 per night.

Tips for Picking Your Disney Cruise Port Hotel

Fort Lauderdale river boat

When it comes to picking your Disney Cruise port hotel, my best advice is to consider how much time you will have to spend at this hotel before preparing for your cruise the next day.

If your flight is arriving late the night before and you are just looking for a place to sleep, then I recommend a no frills hotel with transportation options.

If you are arriving early and want some time to explore Fort Lauderdale, then I recommend a hotel near the beach or the downtown shipping/dining areas. Fort Lauderdale provides a water taxi (at an additional fee) to explore the areas of the town via the different river canals.

Also consider the ages of your kids. Las Olas Blvd is great for adults but younger kids and teens may be bored, there isn't much for them to see or do as most of the offerings are bars, dining, and adult luxury stores. If you are saving the beach for your cruise, you might want to opt for being close to Dania Pointe which offers shopping options that are more family friendly along with chain dining options.

Another helpful tip is to compare prices of hotels with free airport or cruise port shuttles. Are these hotels charging more than they're really worth just because of this service? Would it be more cost effective to just use rideshare?

Regardless of how you decide, there are so many neat places to stay at Fort Lauderdale near the Disney Cruise port. You can go for more affordable lodging to rest before the cruise or splurge and enjoy a private beach access!
