Fan-Favorite Magic Kingdom Treat Unexpectedly Removed From Menu

There are so many amazing foods to try during your Disney World vacation, especially all of the can't-miss treats in our list of the best desserts at Disney World. These standout desserts have become incredibly popular choices for visitors and favorites of our Mickey Visit team!

One particularly beloved Magic Kingdom dessert was just unexpectedly removed from the menu, leaving fans surprised and disappointed. This comes alongside the recent removal of the hushpuppies from the menu at Columbia Harbor House. It is unclear why Disney removed this popular menu item, but the alternatives that are offered in its place look underwhelming compared to the original treat.

Popular Magic Kingdom Treat Removed from Menu

Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square offered the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, a waffle with chocolate-hazelnut spread and slices of strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. This was a popular choice for fans along with the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich, a more savory option with honey-sriracha-glazed chicken. These now-removed waffle sandwiches made our list of some of the best cheap Disney World meals due to their large portion sizes.

The original waffle sandwiches have been removed but Mickey waffles are still available on the menu. The alternative Mickey Waffles are now served with toppings instead of the previous waffle sandwich format with the spread and fruit as fillings.

The alternative menu items only have certain elements of the original Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, like the Mickey Waffle with Berries and Cream that is offered without chocolate-hazelnut spread and the Mickey Waffle with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread and Bananas that comes with bananas but not berries. There is also a variation of the chicken waffle sandwich offered as the Mickey Waffle with Sweet-and-Spicy Maple Chicken.

You can see how these look on the updated menu below. While they offer the same elements as the waffle sandwich, the presentation is quite different.
