“Busiest Day I’ve Seen This Year” Disneyland Slammed With Spring Break & End of Ticket Deal Crowds

We are now into the busy Spring Break season at Disneyland, one of the busiest times of the year at the parks! While you can always expect bigger crowds during this season at Disneyland, today was extra crowded for a particular reason.

We predicted that this would be a super crowded time in our Mickey Visit Disneyland crowd calendar and discussed some tips for beating the crowds in our most recent Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week update. On top of the Spring Break crowds, we are reaching the end of the validity period for a ticket special, which is causing a noticeable uptick in crowd levels right now.

Spring Break is already one of the busiest times of year to avoid at Disneyland if you hate crowds, as many families take advantage of kids' time off from school to plan a Disneyland vacation.

This week also coincides with the last few days of the spring kids' special ticket offer, so crowds are extra high as families are getting in their visit before the end of the ticket validity period which is good for visits through March 20. It's common to see an increase in crowds like this during the days leading up to the end date of a special ticket offer. All park reservations were sold out today besides the Kids' Special Ticket Offer and SoCal Resident ticket on the Disneyland website.

Looking ahead, we can expect these huge crowds to persist until the end of the ticket sale validity period through March 20. Be prepared that crowd levels will remain high for the next few weeks, and the new offerings that come with the Star Wars Season of the Force celebration coming up on March 28 will also draw visitors to Disneyland Park specifically.

In a video shared by David @_freshbaked on Instagram, he shares a look at how the parks are absolutely packed with long lines for attractions that typically don't have long waits like Mickey's House, the Disneyland Railroad, and even the Mark Twain.

In the caption of the video, David shared, “Busiest day of the year today at Disneyland. Mayhem everywhere I looked. The queue was OUT THE DOOR at Mickey’s house.”
