Grizzly River Run, a whitewater rapids ride at Disney California Adventure, closed for refurbishment on January 5, 2026. Disney just announced the ride will reopen on March 27, 2026.

Disney previously shared Grizzly River Run would reopen on March 22, then changed the refurbishment's listing to remove any reopening date. That listing now shows the ride reopening on March 27.
We don't expect any major changes to Grizzly River Run upon its reopening. This ride typically closes for seasonal maintenance every year.

More Refurbishments at Disneyland Resort
The temporary closure of Grizzly River Run is one of many refurbishments happening across Disneyland Resort.
Within Disney California Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania! will close for refurbishment on April 6 and Silly Symphony Swings on April 27. Disney has not announced a reopening date for either attraction. Meanwhile Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind remains closed, with its refurbishment curiously extending daily.
Next door at Disneyland Park, Jungle Cruise has been closed for refurbishment since February 2026, with no reopening date announced. Also at Disneyland Park, Roger Rabbit Car Toon Spin and the Disneyland Monorail both close for refurbishment on March 30, 2026; Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters on April 13; and Pirates of the Caribbean on May 4, with no reopening date announced for any of those attractions yet.
