New Disneyland Coco Ride Location & New Artwork

Disneyland has just made some major announcements pertaining to the DisneylandForward expansion plan, including details on a new parking structure and transportation hub for the resort and news that a classic attraction will be closing to make way for the new Avatar land.

New Details on Disneyland Coco Ride

Disney previously shared that a new Coco ride would be coming to Disney California Adventure that will take guests on a journey alongside Miguel to the Land of the Dead. This boat ride will draw inspiration from classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion, featuring the latest in audio-animatronics technology and the beloved music from the film.

Now, we have a look at new concept art and confirmation of where in the park the ride will be located! Disneyland has shared that the ride will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are mostly backstage as of right now.

Additionally, Disneyland shared that construction will begin backstage this fall, earlier than they previously announced! When the ride was originally announced at D23, they said that construction would begin in 2026, so we’re excited to see that it will be kicking off earlier than planned!
