Disneyland will occasionally close attractions throughout the year for routine maintenance, especially during times with lower crowds. There have been a good handful of ride refurbishments on the calendar recently, and we have gradually been getting news of reopening details for each of these.
Now, the refurbishment calendar shows the reopening date of two attractions in Disneyland Park. Keep reading for all of the details and an overview of the closures you should be aware of at the parks. This news comes right before two popular Disneyland rides end their closures this week, as another closure starts. Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin and the Disneyland Monorail, which both closed on March 30, 2026, will reopen on May 1, 2026. Upon their reopening, these attractions will have been closed for just about a month.
It is not uncommon to see the Monorail, in particular, down for maintenance for several weeks at a time. As always, refurbishment timelines are subject to change, but Disney usually waits until they have a pretty firm sense of the maintenance timeline to post a reopening date.

This news comes right as closures are wrapping up for Toy Story Midway Mania and Jungle Cruise end their closures. All of these closures will end just before major changes launch in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Meanwhile, we still don’t have reopening dates for a few major attractions, including Pirates of the Caribbean and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed alongside the Blue Bayou, the iconic restaurant overlooking the ride. We now have a reopening date for the Blue Bayou, and Disney also shared with us an approximate timeline for how long they expect the Pirates of the Caribbean closure to last.
Disneyland typically tries to keep closures limited at the parks during times like summer, when there is a steady stream of visitors. We expect to see a few closures at a time during this upcoming period, but not as many as we’d see during slower times earlier in the year, like January and February.
You can keep up with all of the closures in our guide to the current and upcoming Disneyland refurbishments.
