As the holidays are coming to a close at Disneyland, the resort is entering into refurbishment season. Disneyland likes to take advantage of this slower time in January and February to complete any necessary ride and restaurant refurbishments.
We already have a good chunk of January ride closures that have either started or are coming up, but there are now even more visible on the refurbishment calendar. New Closures Revealed for Disneyland
Disneyland has revealed a few new closures coming up in January and February 2026. It is common for Disneyland to schedule several closures in this early part of the year before the big Spring Break crowds. Many stretches of January and February are the best times to visit Disneyland for low crowds. Disney Ride Closure ALERTS, Major Changes, Secrets Revealed

We now know that Jungle Cruise will close starting February 17, 2026. We don’t yet have an exact reopening date, but we know that this will be a multi-week closure because Disneyland shared on the Disneyland After Dark 70 Years of Favorites page that it will be closed during this event on March 3 and March 5, 2026. We also know that the Monorail will be closed during those two dates, but we don’t yet have exact details.
Additionally, we have a couple more dining location closures starting soon. At Galaxy’s Edge, Oga’s Cantina and Jat Kaa’s Coolers: J1-KC at Resistance Clearing will close from January 20 through January 24, 2026, reopening on January 25. This bar underwent a significant change as it recently dropped reservations for guests earlier this year.
Across the resort, some refurbishments have already begun, and others are getting ready to start. At Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, the Incredicoaster, and Smokejumpers Grill are now all closed for refurbishment. Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining and Lamplight Lounge are also temporarily closing in a few days.
