Is Disney Making a Live-Action Zootopia Movie Remake?
Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer and Co-Director of both Zootopia movies, Jared Bush, just shut down a report that they are working on a live-action version of Zootopia after an account posted on Twitter stating that they were working on the movie. We have seen lots of reports about a live-action movie so we decided that a fact-check report was important when we saw Bush comment. Here’s the full exchange.
A report on Twitter, which appears to be coming from a parody account, stated, “A Live Action ‘ZOOTOPIA’ remake is reportedly in early development at Disney. Disney is planning on shooting it in a style similar to the live-action remake of ‘THE LION KING’.”

Jared Bush, the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, responded to the tweet, writing, “Not True.”
Someone then responded to Jared’s response stating that the @DiscussingFish account that shared the report was a parody account. “Nooooo Jared that’s a parody account 😭”
Jared Bush then responded – “Oh no! You’re right. I have lost aura.”
Many people then responded to Jared’s response praising the new Zootopia 2 movie from Disney and stating “You will never lose aura after giving us Zootopia 2 thank you Jared”
In addition to this post on Twitter/X, there have been fake movie posters circulating on Facebook suggesting that Disney is creating a live-action Zootopia movie. None of these posters are legitimate and are all fan-made.
