Walt Disney World offers free transportation to its guests staying at Disney Resort hotels to and from all four theme parks and its two water parks.

There are four different main transportation systems at Walt Disney World: bus and water transportation, Disney Skyliner, and Disney Monorail.

Walt Disney World Bus Transportation

You can get to most locations in Walt Disney World by bus which is the most commonly utilized transportation option.

  • Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs is available during Disney Springs operating hours and ends one hour after closing.
  • Bus service between Disney Resort hotels and Disney theme parks begins 45 minutes prior to opening and ends one hour after closing.

Each Disney Resort hotel has its own designated bus stop which is often located near the front of the resort. There are signs at these stops that inform guests when the next bus will be arriving. Guests can also just tap “Get Directions” in the My Experience app to get directions and find out the most direct route.

Each theme park has its own bus area and guests can find signage that will direct them to the bus stop for your Disney Resort hotel.

Getting to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park from Disney Resort Hotels

From May 21 through September 7, 2025, bus transportation directly to Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is available for guests staying at the following Resort hotels:

  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

For all the other Disney Resort hotels, guests can take the bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and then transfer onto the bus to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park.

Bus service begins 30 minutes prior to water park opening and ends 60 minutes after water park closing.

Getting to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park from Disney Resort Hotels

From all Disney Resort hotels, take the bus to the Disney Springs area and then transfer onto the bus for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.

Bus service begins 45 minutes prior to water park opening and ends 60 minutes after water park closing.

Disney Water Transportation

Water taxis and ferries sail to and from Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs. Most routes run at 15 to 30-minute intervals. Hours of operation may vary due to weather conditions.

Magic Kingdom Park – Water Taxi

Guests can use the Water Taxi to and from Magic Kingdom Park from these resorts:

  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
  • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Ferryboats connect Magic Kingdom park to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can also hop aboard a water taxi to travel between the following Resort hotels:

  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios- FriendShip Boat

Guests can access EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios from these resorts via the FriendShip Boat.

  • Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
  • Disney's Beach Club Villas
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
  • Walt Disney World Swan Hotel

Disney Springs- Sassagoula River Cruise

Guests can access Disney Springs via the Sassagoula River Cruise from the following locations:

  • Disney's Old Key West Resort
  • Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
  • Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
  • Disney's Port Orleans – French Quarter

Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation

Disney World monorail

The most classic and nostalgic of transportation options at Walt Disney World is the monorail. Three separate lines run simultaneously: the Resort Monorail, the EPCOT Monorail, and the Express Monorail.

The Resort Monorail makes the following stops:

  • Magic Kingdom park
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
  • Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)

The EPCOT Monorail and the Express Monorail originate at the TTC and offer express round-trip service to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom park. Guests may need to transfer to a new monorail at the TTC to reach EPCOT.

Hours of Operation

  • The Resort Monorail and Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes prior to when Magic Kingdom park opens and stop one hour after Magic Kingdom park closes.
  • The EPCOT Monorail begins operating 30 minutes prior to when EPCOT opens and stops 2 hours after EPCOT closes.

Disney Skyliner

This newest addition to Walt Disney World transportation is the Skyliner and it connects some of the most popular Disney resorts to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

You can travel using the Disney Skyliner to both parks from any of these Disney Resort hotels:
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort

The Skyliner station at EPCOT is located a short walk away from other popular Walt Disney World stops such as Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment district, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
