Disney Springs Bus Transportation Requiring Verification
Disney Springs is the property’s primary shopping and dining district. While theme park parking requires a daily fee, parking at Disney Springs is complimentary. Consequently, this specific bus route can see high demand from guests who use Disney Springs as a parking hub to access other areas of the property.

To manage the current seasonal surge, Disney has introduced a verification step at the Disney Springs bus loop to ensure transportation is prioritized for those with confirmed resort hotel destinations. Cast Members have been stationed at the entrance to the bus queues at Disney Springs. Before boarding a bus heading to a resort, guests are now required to verify their eligibility. Cast Members are utilizing handheld devices to scan MagicBands or mobile devices. If you do not have a MagicBand, you can present your digital “Key to the World” or reservation details within the official Disney app.
To board a bus from Disney Springs to a resort hotel, guests must provide the following:
- An Active Resort Hotel Stay: A current reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel
- A Confirmed Dining Reservation: A table-service meal booked at a restaurant located within a resort
- A Booked Activity or Experience: A reservation for a resort-specific recreation, such as a specialty cruise or spa appointment
Guests who cannot verify one of these categories may be denied boarding at the Disney Springs loop. This is a temporary measure designed to align with the busy Easter and Spring Break period. Disney has utilized similar verification processes during past peak windows to manage logistical demand and limit the misuse of complimentary transportation. It is important to clarify that this policy is not resort-wide. It applies only to the specific route from Disney Springs to the resort hotels. Standard transportation between the four theme parks and the resorts continues to operate under its normal procedures.
For guests visiting during this window, the additional scanning step is an extra part of the boarding process. While intended to streamline the system for resort guests, it may impact wait times at the bus loop during peak departure hours.

Disney has not officially announced a permanent end date for this temporary change, though it is expected to remain in place through the height of the Easter holiday and travel week. Guests are encouraged to have their MagicBands or mobile apps ready before entering the bus queue to assist with a smooth verification process.
