Disney Is FINALLY Fixing Soarin’ Ride Problem at Disneyland! Upcoming Closure Announced

Soarin' Around the World is a fan-favorite ride at EPCOT and Disney California Adventure that takes riders on a simulated hang-gliding flight above some of the most iconic and beautiful locations around the globe.

Following the recent transformation of EPCOT dividing Future World into three new neighborhoods, the finale scene of the ride has been updated to reflect the recent changes to the park. In addition to this update, one particular scene has received a change that dramatically improves the ride experience.

Now, we're going to see this change come to the Disney California Adventure version of the ride. Keep reading for more details!

One Soarin' Scene Gets Major Improvement

At EPCOT's version of Soarin' Around the World, the finale scene was recently updated to reflect the view over World Celebration Gardens now that the construction in the park has been completed.

However, this was not the only change to come to the ride—in the Eiffel Tower scene, the issue of the infamous curved Eiffel Tower effect that you experience when sitting off to the sides has been addressed. The scene has been redone with a new angle from further away that improves the warping effect as you approach the Eiffel Tower.

When this change first debuted, we checked with Disneyland to see if they planned the same change at Disney California Adventure's version of the attraction, but they didn’t have anything to share at that time.

However, now we know that this change is coming to Disney California Adventure as well. While this change won't take place during Soarin's scheduled refurbishment on April 28, the scene will be updated in the coming weeks. Soarin' is one of our favorite rides at Disneyland just the way it is, but this key change to this scene is going to make it even better and improve the ride experience every time.

The warped view of the Eiffel Tower is a huge reason why we often request the center section front row of Soarin', as it makes the experience completely immersive instead of this scene taking you out of the moment. Even with this change, this row is still going to be the best because your view is unobstructed without feet hanging in your view.
