4 Disney World Dining Plan 2026 Changes That Complicate Offering

Walt Disney World is changing its dining plan for 2026, and these changes to four specific restaurants will make using the plan a bit more complicated. This concept of a whole is somewhat of a contradiction, as the dining plan is often advertised as a way to make your trip less complicated. See update to the article below from one of the restaurants initially included.

Let’s explore these new specific restaurant changes that will impact the plan use and what to expect in the upcoming year. At Mickey Visit, we report on recent Disney news, like the narrator for the Disneyland Candlelight Processional and our review of EPCOT’s cookie stroll.

Disney Dining Plan Free for Kids in 2026

There are two versions of the Disney dining plan: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. The main difference is that the Disney Dining Plan includes meals at sit-down restaurants. For the Disney Dining Plan, the plan includes one table service meal, one quick-service meal, one resort refillable mug, and one snack or dessert per person ages 3 and older for each night of your hotel stay. The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes the same options except for a table service meal.

The Disney Dining Plan is going to be more popular than usual in 2026 since Disney World is offering a free dining plan for kids (ages 3 to 9) with the purchase of an eligible Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a Disney World hotel and a dining plan for each guest ages 10 and up.

This offer can be combined with many other Disney World offers as well, making it a great discount for families next year. The Disney dining plan is a popular offering, often marketed as a means of convenience, but some changes next year might make using it more complicated. Four restaurants are changing up their availability as part of the Disney Dining Plan, which may catch some guests off guard.

1. The Edison

The Edison

The Edison is a 1920s-themed restaurant located in Town Center at Disney Springs. This is a popular spot for nighttime entertainment, making it a great choice for guests. This restaurant is also shifting its dining plan availability, with the plan now only being accepted during dinner. The Disney Dining Plan will not be taken during lunch hours.

This isn’t quite too inconvenient, as The Edison tends to offer great entertainment during the evening hours when dinner takes place.

2. Tutto Italia Ristorante

Italian dish

Tutto Italia Ristorante is a popular Italian restaurant in EPCOT featuring authentic Italian dishes, fine wines, and desserts. This is a great option for the Disney Dining Plan in terms of value since some of the menu items here can be expensive. But starting in 2026, the Disney Dining Plan will only be available at Tutto Italia Ristorante for lunch only.

This is a disappointing move, as a heavy Italian meal is typically going to be more popular with guests for dinner and not lunch.

3. Via Napoli

pizza epcot

Via Napoli is one of the more popular restaurants in EPCOT, also offering Italian food, and is most widely known for its wood-fired pizzas. This restaurant is also removing eligibility for the Disney Dining Plan from part of its hours, with the plan now only being available at dinner.

Lunch no longer being included here is a great inconvenience, as this is a restaurant that many guests frequent at EPCOT. Losing the ability to use the Disney Dining Plan for either lunch or dinner was going to be a big drawback, regardless of which option was chosen.

4. Terralina Crafted Italian See Update Below

Disney Springs

UPDATE: We heard from the general manager of the restaurant that the Walt Disney World website was an error. Terralina Crafted Italian will offer both lunch and dinner on the dining plan  in 2026. The GM of the restaurant shared that after reading this article, they reached out to Disney to get the information corrected.

Terralina Crafted Italian is located in The Landing at Disney Springs and offers waterfront views in this Italian restaurant featuring a menu from Executive Chef Martin Chiaravalloti. Starting next year, this restaurant will only accept the dining plan for lunch instead of for both lunch and dinner.

This means guests wanting to use the Disney Dining Plan at this restaurant need to make sure they dine during lunch hours. This is disappointing news, as a higher-end restaurant like this tends to be a more popular choice for dinner hours. Perhaps this will create more of a draw to dine here at lunch.

Updates Still Pending for 2026 Disney Dining Plan Restaurants

Crepes at EPCOT

Walt Disney World offers a list each year of participating restaurants in the Disney Dining Plan. This year’s list is still missing around 50 restaurants as of mid-December, which may cause some concern for guests planning next year. I wouldn’t worry too much, as Disney World is likely still putting together its list of eligible restaurants for 2026, which takes some planning, especially with the third-party restaurants they coordinate with.

It is possible we will see further Disney Dining Plan changes, like removing eligibility for lunch or dinner, for more restaurants as we learn more about offerings for next year. This is a new move from Disney World, and it could mean this method may be expanded to other restaurants. I hope that won’t be the case, as this does devalue the plan, especially if this becomes more common with other restaurants aside from the four listed above. It also complicates the use of the plan, which is a drawback when many guests book it largely due to convenience.

  1. This information is not accurate for Terralina Crafted Italian. I am the General Manager and can confirm that we will be accepting the dining plan at both lunch and dinner.
