Disney Parks Making Much-Needed Changes to Dining Reservation Search Process

Disney is always working to make improvements to the parks' sites and apps, especially as it pertains to features that visitors use most often, like booking dining reservations. Now, there have been some new changes introduced to the Disneyland and Disney World websites to make the dining reservation search process more seamless.

New features on the sites now allow visitors to search dining availability across multiple dates, select filters, and more. These changes are being rolled out on the websites starting today. Keep reading for more details…

One new feature is that guests can now look at dining reservation availability across a month on a calendar to see which days a restaurant has and doesn't have reservations available. This is indicated by a green dot on available days. You can see a screenshot of this in action courtesy of Scott Gustin on X below.

This tool is especially helpful if you're looking for the most sought-after reservations, so you can more quickly and effectively identify the days when there is availability. For instance, if you're looking for a reservation at a popular location like the Blue Bayou, you will now be able to see if there are any open reservations for any date.

You will now be able to search across multiple dates for dining reservation availability at all dining locations, rather than selecting a date range for one restaurant at a time. There is also a new time range slider you can use to filter by time.

You can see the different filters that you are able to select below. You can filter for different locations, table service styles, cuisine, and price. This is really helpful if you are trying to search in just one area (for example, just the Grand Californian or Downtown Disney only) for dining reservations. The filter for vegetarian options is also helpful to narrow down restaurants with plant-based options.

Here is what those filters look like when you're searching on the Disney World site. It's especially helpful for Disney World due to the abundance of dining options available across the parks and resorts. For Disney World, you can easily filter for the Disney Dining Plans as well.
