This Disney Fan Recreated the Castle at Home and Watches Fireworks Every Night

For Disney fans who don’t live locally near Disneyland or Walt Disney World, the days in between trips can be long as they count down the days until they’re close to the magic again.

One Disney fan found a creative way to bring a touch of Disney magic into his home, turning a simple hobby into a dream come true for any Disney adult. This creativity shows that there’s more than one way to capture that Disney feeling, something I discovered myself with a different kind of castle.

Disney Fan Creates His Own Fireworks Show

EPCOT fireworks

This 3D printing enthusiast and Disney fan decided to create a model of Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland to incorporate the magic of the fireworks show into his home. James Bricknell then added his own projection show, allowing him to illuminate the 3D-printed castle and mimic the same fireworks show you see at theme parks. This allows his family to watch the fireworks every day from their home.

The result of this project is impressive and is a great example of how hobbies in tech can recreate different fandom experiences in your own home. Bricknell breaks down the entire process step by step, including all the materials you need, links to files, instruction videos, and 3D printing measurements.

The result of this project allows him to live every day in Disney magic, all because of his skills with a 3D printer!

No 3D Printer? Try LEGOs Instead!

Disney castle LEGO set

I can’t boast quite as impressive a project, but one of my favorite pieces of Disney magic in my home is my LEGO Disney Castle. My son and I took this giant set to another level by purchasing a light and sound kit for it, which lights up the castle with different colors and plays the introduction and clips of the music from the Happily Ever After fireworks show.

If you’re looking to incorporate your own Disney fireworks show into your room, this is an option for fans that doesn’t require any tech-savvy skills.
