Disney Announces Duffy and Friends, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Marvel Shows and Experiences on New Cruise Ship

Disney has announced new offerings for one of its newest Disney Cruise Line ships that will be setting sail from Singapore starting later this year!

The new Disney Adventure ship features favorite stories from Disney, Marvel, and Pixar, offering new attractions and impressive spaces like Disney Imagination Garden, an open-air space that will be home to a stage with several shows. In addition to the offerings that have already been announced for the Disney Adventure ship, Disney has just shared more details on new experiences including the popular Duffy and Friends coming to Disney Cruise Line for the first time, a new show featuring Captain Jack Sparrow, new Marvel experiences, and more.

Duffy and Friends will be making their Disney Cruise Line debut with a new show, meet-and-greets, a shop, and activities. The character of Duffy, Mickey's stuffed teddy bear, originated at Disney World before Imagineers added a story for him at Tokyo DisneySea. Today, Duffy and his group of friends are very popular characters, especially at the overseas parks in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, as well as Disney's Aulani Resort and Spa.

Now, there will be new Duffy and Friends experiences coming to the Disney Adventure including a new show at the Disney Imagination Garden stage called “Duffy and The Friend Ship” with original songs on an imaginary voyage guided by the seagull Tippy Blue. There will also be character meet-and-greets, a Duffy and Friends Shop with items featuring the characters, and a ship-wide activity called Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest where you'll help find missing items and earn a commemorative gift.

Another show coming to the Disney Imagination Garden stage is the new “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen,” which features Jack Sparrow and his pirates “as they battle with an ink-squirting giant squid and hunt for a rare, dazzling treasure.” You can see the concept art for this below!

More new experiences coming to the Disney Adventure include the new Marvel Style Studio, which celebrates favorite Marvel characters with hair, makeup, and clothing. During select times throughout the cruise, the space will be an adults-only lounge with bookable beverage tastings. This joins the other Marvel offerings on the ship including the three new attractions Ironcycle Test Run, Pym Quantum Racers, and Groot Galaxy Spin.

There will also be a new Disney Princess experience onboard called the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea, featuring treats, stories, and music, as well as official society membership keepsakes. The experience will  “teach children the society’s values of kindness, bravery and determination.”
