How Much Does it Cost to Stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite?
The cost of a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite has been an interest of Guests for many years. It’s often wondered what the price tag for a night in the suite looks like. The reality is, the Cinderella Castle Suite has no set price.Actually, the suite never has had a price put on it. This is because the suite can't be booked. Disney has never opened the suite up for reservations, making it impossible for Guests to book a night’s stay. It’s rumored that Disney has turned down offers of up to $40,000 to let Guests stay in the suite for a single night.Since the cost of a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite has never been set, that actually makes it extremely invaluable. No matter how much money you’re willing to pay, you will not be able to buy your way into this exclusive suite.
Guests Have Stayed in the Cinderella Castle Suite Before
Since you cannot simply pay the cost of a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite, how have Guests stayed there? So far, there have only been two ways to stay in the suite – win a night’s stay or be personally invited by Disney. Both scenarios are very hard to come by.Guests who have won a night’s stay have done so through a variety of sweepstakes and one auction. So far, every time there is an opportunity to win a night’s stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite, it is part of a bigger prize. Generally, the night's stay in the suite is part of a grand prize vacation package that includes things such as airfare, room accommodations, tickets, a special meal, and a VIP Tour. The money that was accumulated through these sweepstakes and auction was raised for and donated to charities. The opportunity to win a night’s stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite doesn’t happen too often. There is currently a contest running that provides the rare opportunity to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite for a lucky winner! While the chance to win a night’s stay in the suite is very slim, the odds are even less to get a personal invite from Disney. So far there have only been five instances when Disney has invited Guests to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite. All of the Guests that were invited were high-profile celebrities. Unless you’re famous, your chances of getting a personal invite from Disney are probably close to non-existent.
When Was the Cinderella Castle Suite First Used?

For those familiar with the history of Walt Disney World, this may seem strange since Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. Why did it take so long for Disney to use the suite? The main reason was because this area wasn’t initially a suite when the castle was built. When the castle was first designed, this area was meant to be an apartment for Walt and his family to use during their visits to Disney World. Unfortunately, due to Walt’s untimely death, the apartment never came to be.Since the apartment was no more, this area was essentially used as a storage space and office area. Inside were a few desks, a couple phones, and some items that needed a place to be stored. Finally, after many years of sitting empty, Disney transformed the area into the exquisite suite that it is today. In 2006, a celebration took place at Walt Disney World called Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams. Throughout this time, random Guests were selected by Cast Members and given “dreams”. One of these dreams was a night's stay in the brand new Cinderella Castle Suite.307 1-Night stays were given out to Guests during Disney's Year of a Million Dreams celebration. Even when it first opened, the cost of a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite had no set value. From the very beginning, a night’s stay in the suite has been given out as a special award or prize.
Who Has Stayed in the Cinderella Castle Suite?
The list of Guests who have stayed in the Cinderella Castle Suite is very short. Besides those who have won sweepstakes or auctions, the only other Guests who have stayed in the suite have been personally invited by Disney. So far, all of the Guests who have received personal invitations have been well-known celebrities. These celebrities were Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle (2010), Tom Cruise and his daughter Suri (2012), Neil Patrick Harris, his husband David, and their twins (2013), Mariah Carrey, Nick Cannon, and their twins (2013), and Katy Perry (2014).All of these Guests were invited to stay at the Cinderella Castle Suite between the years of 2010 and 2014. No Guests with personal invitations have stayed in the suite for the past 10 years.
Can You Visit the Cinderella Castle Suite?
In the past, Guests have been able to visit the Cinderella Castle Suite without staying in it. However, this experience has not been available for years. The most recent chance to access the suite took place in 2019 with the World of Dreams Disney VIP Tour. The World of Dreams tour was a completely customizable tour of Walt Disney World that took place for 12 hours. During the tour, two tour guides would escort Guests across all four of the Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond. Guests had private transportation, backstage access, skip-the-line privileges, 3 meals at the restaurants of their choice, snacks, and access to a special viewing area for the fireworks show. One of the biggest highlights of this tour was a chance to access the Cinderella Castle Suite. Since available access to the suite is so minimal, this made the World of Dreams tour extremely desirable. If you were simply taking part in the tour to get a look inside the suite, the cost to access the Cinderella Castle Suite in this instance was $12,000.Even though you would not be staying in it, you could view the Cinderella Castle Suite as part of this 12 hour tour for $12,000 (not including the Park Hopper tickets that were needed). Up to 6 Guests were able to take part in the tour at one time. By doing this tour with friends and family, the experience of viewing the Cinderella Castle Suite during this tour could have gone down slightly by splitting the bill.To learn more about current Disney VIP Tours, check out our article “Walt Disney World VIP Tours – How to Get the Celebrity Treatment!”.
Going Inside Cinderella Castle
Even though the chances to stay in or even see inside the Cinderella Castle Suite are very slim, there are still ways that you can go inside Cinderella Castle. The best way to experience the most of the castle is to enjoy a meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table. When dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table, you will enter multiple parts of the castle. You will first go to the Grand Hall where you will meet Cinderella. Afterwards, you will go up a spiral staircase to the banquet room. Here, you will enjoy your meal and meet other Disney Princesses, all while being surrounded by the majestic beauty of Cinderella Castle. Take in the stone archways, medieval flags, stained-glass windows, and beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom.
Visit Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Another way to enter Cinderella Castle is by treating your young prince or princess to a royal makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. While the transformation begins at the boutique, the rest of the magic happens in the salon that is located within Cinderella Castle. This is where Fairy Godmother's Apprentices work on your little one’s hair, makeup, and nails. When the transformation is complete, your prince or princess will be invited to head over to Sir Mickey’s to have their picture taken at the Royal Portrait Studio.
Walk Through Cinderella Castle
If you don’t plan on taking part in either of these activities, you can simply walk through the base of Cinderella Castle. There is a walkway that allows Guests to walk through the castle in order to get from Main Street U.S.A. to Fantasyland. The walls of this walkway are covered in beautiful mosaics that tell Cinderella’s story. Take time to enjoy these beautiful pieces of art and appreciate the majestic feel of the castle.
