Walt Disney World has released a look at the new entertainment coming to EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios as part of the new “Cool Kid Summer.”
“Cool Kid Summer” will run from May 27 through September 1 and includes a “GoofyCore” takeover of CommuniCore Hall, dance parties, and expanded character appearances. Let’s get into the first look at this new entertainment!

“GoofyCore” Takeover in EPCOT
First up is “GoofyCore” at CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT. Goofy will lead guests in a new summer party and play experience inside the hall.
The entertainment will include fun kids’ games like “Loopy Limbo” with Goofy and his crew.

Other games also include “Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks” which looks like a game kids will absolutely love!
This is a great offering for the summer especially for kids to get their energy out.
The hot summer months can be rough on small children at the theme parks and having a place to cool off in the air conditioning with entertainment like this is such a great idea!
Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus
“Cool Kid Summer” will also introduce entertainment to Magic Kingdom at Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus.
This entertainment will feature “DJ Ringmaster” throwing this kid-focused dance party.
There will be plenty of midway-style games and hands-on activities along with this circus-focused entertainment.
This is a great way to incorporate the theming of the land into the entertainment.
This is another great option for kids to let off steam and enjoy unique entertainment options.
Get Animated at Animation Courtyard
Get Animated at Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios will feature character interactions.
There will be activities and crafts with characters present to interact with kids.
There will also be an indoor DJ dance party.
“Get Animated” will include interactions with Mickey Mouse, Disney Junior characters, and other Disney favorites.
This is a good way to breathe life into Animation Courtyard which is often mainly just utilized for after-hours events.

All of the activities for “Cool Kid Summer” are part of a push to bring more entertainment to the parks this summer focused on younger kids and their families. You can’t go wrong with increased entertainment options and all of these options are great for young kids, especially during the hot summer months at Walt Disney World.

This isn’t the only new entertainment coming to Walt Disney World. Starting May 27th, “The Little Mermaid Musical Adventure” and “Disney Villains: Unfairy Ever After” both debut at Hollywood Studios. We are just waiting on one more big detail for the summer, the opening date for Disney World’s new Starlight Parade, which right now is currently listed as opening “later this summer.”
