How to Get the Best Disneyland Castle Picture With NO Wait

There is nothing like getting a picture in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle to remember your trip by! The iconic landmark is beautiful no matter what time of year it is, whether you are posing with the classic castle or Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle during Christmas at Disneyland.

However, some seasons at the park are busier than others, which can affect your castle picture. Getting that perfect photo often means waiting in line for a bit of time, and there is a good chance you'll have several people in the background of your shot during peak times. However, we have a tip on how to get the best Disneyland castle picture with no wait. Keep reading for more details!

How to Get the Best Disneyland Castle Picture

Disneyland castle best picture spot

The key to avoiding the long waits and crowds that tend to come with castle pictures is taking your photo from a different angle. For the best picture next to the castle, we recommend going to the side of the castle. Our favorite option is going to the path along the right side of the castle (as you are coming from Main Street U.S.A.). On the way towards Snow White Grotto is a quiet section with a clear view of the castle where there will often be a shorter wait and fewer people in your shot. Every time we take a picture of or with Sleeping Beauty Castle, it's from this angle!

See what a picture of the castle looks like from the right side below. As you can see, another perk of this angle is that you'll be surrounded by more greenery in the photo.

This tip is also useful during the Christmas season at Disneyland as well. The lights on the trees frame the shot of Sleeping Beauty's Castle beautifully!

While you're on the right side of the castle, you can stop by Snow White Grotto or keep walking towards Fantasyland to head towards the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough, some of our favorite quiet secret spots at Disneyland!

If you are a Disneyland Resort Hotel guest and have Early Entry to the park, this is an ideal time to get your castle picture with much fewer people in the background and no lines. See our guide to PhotoPass at Disneyland for some photography tips for getting the best pictures at the parks!
