Disneyland typically takes advantage of the slower time after the holiday celebration to do any necessary refurbishments for rides and restaurants. We previously shared that there would be three simultaneous closures in a Disney California Adventure land, and we now have reopening dates for one of these rides, as well as two attractions in Disneyland Park.

Disneyland Ride Closure End Dates
We now have closure end dates visible for three rides and a popular Disneyland restaurant. These closures are all taking place during a period that is one of the best months to visit Disneyland, but typically has a greater number of refurbishments happening.

At Disney California Adventure, we now have the reopening date for Lamplight Lounge and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closed January 5, 2026, through January 22, 2026. The ride reopens on January 23. This was just about the length we expected for this refurbishment based on past precedent.
Lamplight Lounge and Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining will be closed from January 12, 2026, through January 15, 2026. These locations reopen on January 16. This is a pretty short closure, but it will share some overlap with the closures of Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and the Incredicoaster.
Right now, the Incredicoaster still does not have a reopening date at the time of writing. It is closing on January 5 for refurbishment. Grizzly River run is also closing on the same date and does not yet have a reopening date on the calendar. We expect this ride to reopen from its seasonal closure sometime around mid-March, based on last year.
Over at Disneyland Park, the Haunted Mansion has its seasonal closure to remove the holiday overlay after the end of the Christmas celebration, and we now have the reopening date! The ride will be closed from January 12, 2026, through January 22, 2026. The ride reopens on January 23. Mark Twain Riverboat is also having a short closure from January 12, 2026, through January 15, 2026. This reopens on January 16.

There is another major closure coming up soon at Disneyland Park for which we do not yet have the reopening date. Rise of the Resistance is closing for refurbishment in late January. You can see that date and everything we know so far about the Rise of the Resistance closure here. It is rare for this ride to close for a scheduled refurbishment, so you’ll want to be aware of this if you have a visit planned during this time of year.
