This Disney Star Wars Ride Has a Hidden Experience if You Do This to Unlock It

Getting the opportunity to fly the Millennium Falcon on Disney's Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run is such a dream come true for Star Wars fans! In the experience, the pirate Hondo Ohnaka will guide you through a mission to retrieve containers of coaxium for the rebellion, as all six crew members of the ship aid the mission in the roles of pilots, gunners, and engineers.

However, some may not know that there is a secret mode you can unlock on this ride where an iconic original Star Wars character takes over the narration! Keep reading for more details. At Mickey Visit, we reveal secret details like this and other history in the theme parks.

Secret Mode on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run

As you board the ride vehicle, you can ask a Cast Member how to get “Chewie Mode,” and they will instruct you on how to click all of your flashing buttons and get buckled in quickly, and then it will activate. Instead of Hondo guiding you through the mission, it will be Chewie yelling at you the whole time. Granted, you won't get much actual guidance with the language barrier, but for those who have already ridden the attraction several times, this can be a cool new feature to unlock!

Instead of pressing your activations right away like you normally would, each role has to do something in addition. The Pilots need to push their controls to the far right/left or up/down (depending on which pilot you are) before pushing their activation button, and the Engineers/Gunners need to press and hold one of their white buttons before hitting their activation button.

All of this needs to be done before the Cast Member closes the door and sends you off on the ride. We recommend telling the Cast Member you're going for Chewie mode so that they know not to close the door before this process is done, and can help if needed.
