Alien Swirling Saucers received an update with a new name, music, and a new character from Toy Story 5. The ride is now called Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams. The tablet from the recent Toy Story movie, Lilypad, appears now outside of the attraction entrance. According to the attraction’s new story, Lilypad has connected to the internet to remix and create mashups of different songs.

When the changes were first announced, Disney revealed these new songs would include those from the Toy Story films’ soundtracks and original songs written for the ride. Some of the songs revealed at the time were “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “We Belong Together” (from Toy Story 3), and “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” (from Toy Story 4).

Many Taylor Swift fans were wondering whether the tracklist for the ride would include her new song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written specifically for Toy Story 5. Because the song wasn’t mentioned in Disney’s original announcement about the attraction’s changes, many fans began to lose hope that it would actually make the final cut.

Well, fans who experienced the changes today quickly noticed a very exciting addition: Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” is officially part of the attraction’s new song setlist! This is also a major first for Taylor Swift, as “I Knew It, I Knew You” appears to be the first Swift song officially incorporated into a theme park ride’s soundtrack. This news also comes on the same day Taylor Swift released four new songs for the The Life of a Showgirl encore, making the timing of this Disney announcement even more exciting for Swifties.

However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Taylor Swift presence in Hollywood Studios. Disney featured three authentic Taylor Swift Eras Tour costumes at Hollywood Studios for a limited-time exhibit in December 2025 that ran through January 2026. Taylor Swift has worked with Disney on several projects over the years, including her Disney+ concert film.

These new changes to Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams may signal that Disney is trying to give the attraction a similar music-driven appeal that has made The Happy Ride with Baymax at Tokyo Disneyland so popular. Alien Swirling Saucers uses the same basic ride system as The Happy Ride with Baymax at Tokyo Disneyland, with both attractions featuring vehicles that swing and spin around the ride floor.

The Tokyo Disneyland attraction uses an original rotating soundtrack as a major feature of the ride, with Disney refreshing the music for special occasions.

The Happy Ride with Baymax has become particularly popular for its music, with a rotating soundtrack that encourages guests to ride multiple times in hopes of experiencing different songs. Now that Taylor Swift’s song is a part of Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams, we might see a similar significant boost in popularity as guests repeat rides to try and experience the Taylor Swift song.

When the ride isn’t actively in motion, Lilypad’s huge tablet screen displays puzzles, guessing games, and “home videos” she’s recorded of the toys. Some of the new songs written for the ride also include a Pizza Planet theme song and “Spin It Back, Lilypad.”
