New Disneyland Magic Key Perk Including Interactive Activity Revealed

Disneyland has rotating perks for its Magic Key holders. These can be seasonal, or they can coincide with park events or anniversaries. Even though summertime is quickly approaching, this new perk for Magic Key holders is not summer specific, though there may be some more in the near future. Instead, Disney has announced a new perk for Magic Key holders as a bit of a send off to Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.

This celebration is ending soon, but Magic Key holders can experience the fun for a little while longer. Keep reading for all the details on this new perk! Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including which Disney World resort has one of the best dining lineups and new closures, expansion milestones, policy changes, and added perks across Disney parks.

The newest perk is a map activity at Disneyland Park. It is a road trip inspired map, giving guests clues to lead them to special spots all around Disneyland Park. Disney has done map related activities for Magic Key holders as a part of celebrations in the past, but this one seems to be more of an adventure than a scavenger hunt. But it will still be a fun way to spend time in the park!

To participate, Magic Key holders can go to Disneyana on Main Street U.S.A. and pick up their map during regular operating hours. You must show a valid Magic Key pass to collect the map, and each holder can only get one map. There are limited quantities, so you can only get a map while supplies last.

As with other activities inside the park, guests must have both a park reservation and valid admission to enter. Magic Key reservations may be limited based on the amount of park reservations allocated to Magic Key holders.

This is a limited time event, beginning on June 26, and running through July 24.

The 70th anniversary celebration began last May, and will be officially coming to an end on August 10. The last day guests can experience a majority of the festivities will be August 9.

A few things will stay around a little longer. Paint the Night parade and the Wondrous Journeys fireworks show will have their final shows on August 20, so there is still some time to experience those before they end.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Disney California Adventure, which adds to the festive atmosphere. As a part of this celebration, the original Soarin’ Over California has returned for an extended run. It will run through June 30, and the newest version of the ride, Soarin’ Across America, is set to open on July 2.
