A popular Disneyland restaurant was recently added to the refurbishment calendar without prior notice. While most maintenance projects at the resort are scheduled and announced months in advance, operational changes can occasionally occur seemingly overnight.
For guests who have planned their park days around specific favorites, these sudden updates require a quick pivot to their dining strategy. This is especially true for this location, as it’s home to a favorite viral dessert. Keep reading to find out all of the details! At Mickey Visit, we cover the latest Disney news, including a new temporary bus policy change during the busy spring break season and two new Disneyland guest ride rule changes.

As of March 30, 2026, Harbour Galley has unexpectedly closed for refurbishment. Situated across from the Haunted Mansion at the edge of Fowler’s Harbor, this location is a go-to spot for lobster rolls and seasonal bread bowls. One of the biggest draws of this restaurant for guests is the viral chocolate chip cookies, which are freshly baked and regarded widely as one of the best Disneyland desserts on property. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular desserts at the park.
According to Disney, the closure is currently scheduled as a brief maintenance window. The restaurant is showing its operating hours again, starting April 4th, meaning it will be unavailable from March 30 through April 3rd. At the same time, Disney has not specified the exact nature of the work.
These short breaks are typically used for minor upgrades or cosmetic refreshes. Guests looking for similar menu items, such as sourdough bread bowls, can still find them nearby at Royal Street Veranda.
Recent Spring Closures Across Disneyland Resort
The sudden downtime for Harbour Galley coincides with several other notable refurbishments currently affecting the resort. March 30, 2026, has proven to be a particularly busy day for maintenance at Disneyland Park, as it marks the simultaneous planned closures of two other attractions.
Both the Disneyland monorail and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin have gone offline for an indefinite period. The loss of the Monorail is especially impactful for guests who rely on access to Tomorrowland. At the same time, the closure of Mickey’s Toontown may lead to increased wait times at neighboring attractions, such as Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Looking ahead to Spring, the closure schedule continues, with Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters set to shut down on April 13. This trend will culminate in early May with the temporary loss of two New Orleans Square staples. Starting May 4, both Pirates of the Caribbean and the Blue Bayou Restaurant will close.
While the Blue Bayou is tentatively scheduled to return in late May with a temporary modified dining experience, Pirates of the Caribbean is expected to remain closed for significantly longer, with no official reopening date yet announced. Because refurbishments can occur without notice and reopening dates can change, it’s important to check the latest updates on our Disneyland refurbishment guide before your trip.
