Disney California Adventure Ride Closing for Two-Day Refurb
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be closed February 27 and February 28, and it is currently set to reopen on March 1. This two-day closure comes on the heels of a scheduled refurbishment last month, during which it was closed from January 5 to January 23. It is likely a regular maintenance check of the ride, since it received a lengthier closure not too long ago.

This ride joins many others on the refurbishment list at Disney California Adventure. During the two-day closure for Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Grizzly River Run and Jumpin’ Jellyfish will also be closed. Grizzly River Run closed on January 5, and as of right now, it does not have a reopening date. Jumpin’ Jellyfish closed on February 23 and will reopen on March 6.
These quick closures come ahead of the busy Spring Break season at Disneyland. Crowds typically start picking up around mid-March as kids are let out of school, and they continue through most of April. There are also several continued or future closures at Disneyland. This includes attractions like the Jungle Cruise, which has been closed since February 17 with no set reopening date, or the upcoming closure of Golden Zephyr. Also on that list are attractions such as Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, Oga’s Cantina, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, and the beloved Disneyland Monorail.
